Exclusive: Country music star Hardy is teaming up with Grammy-nominated songwriter Ben Johnson and writer/producer Dave Alan Johnson to executive produce the new docuseries Music Row, currently in production in Nashville.

The indie project follows successful songwriters and artists in country music today like Cody Johnson, Ashley Cooke, Hunter Phelps and Ashley Gorley. Set inside the world of the genre and modern Nashville, Music Row will offer audiences a view into how the hits are made and the inner workings behind the genre’s biggest hits.

Through Exceleration Studio, Susana Zepeda produces the unscripted series with showrunner Dave Alan Johnson. On behalf of the Studio, CEO Steve McBeth and Zepeda are handling sales for the series.

“This show celebrates those who walk into a room with nothing and walk out with a piece of art, a song, that can move people around the world for generations,” said Dave Alan Johnson.

Trinity Creative has unleashed a trailer for the upcoming American period war picture ‘Love Courage And The Battle of Bushy Run’.

The movie tells the little-known true story of a battle which changed the course of American history and forged a nation. A timeless tale of sacrifice and bravery.

Directed by Dave Alan Johnson and Larry A McLean, The film stars Tom Connolly, Rachele Schank (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Sex Lives of College Girls), Adam Baldwin (Full Metal Jacket, Independence Day, The Patriot) and John Michael Finley (I Can Only Imagine).

Trinity Creative Partnership have snapped up U.K. sales rights for historical war film “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run,” which is launching at AFM.

Set in 1763, “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run” is a historical drama set against the backdrop of one of the most defining moments in American history, the battle of Bushy Run. Dave Alan Johnson (“Christmas with Tucker”) and Larry A. McClean (“Pacific Rim”) direct from a screenplay by Charlie Richards (“House Rules”).

The battle unfolds during the Pontiac’s War in the aftermath of Britain’s 1763 triumph over France when a clash of cultures and strategies in the American Colonies took tensions to new heights.

“As Native tribes, driven by fear of British retaliation, unite under the leadership of Ottawa Chief Pontiac, the film explores the unconventional and brutal tactics employed in their quest to capture Fort Pitt,” reads the logline.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Pearl Street Films and Exodus Film Group have boarded “Flash Before the Bang,” a sports drama about an all-deaf high school track team.

The film has been in development for some time and will star Troy Kotsur, who was recently seen in “Coda,” along with actress Deanne Bray and “Deaf U” host Nyle Dimarco.

“Flash Before the Bang” is a coming-of-age story inspired by the life of the film’s deaf writer and director Jevon Whetter. It follows a track and field team at the Oregon High School for the Deaf who in 1986 overcame discrimination and adversity to become state champions.

Kotsur in the film will play the team’s head coach, Dimarco an assistant coach, and Bray will portray the mother of one of the film’s young co-lead.

Exclusive: Troy Kotsur (Coda), Nyle Dimarco (America’s Next Top Model) and Deanne Bray (Heroes) are attached to star in Flash Before The Bang, a groundbreaking sports pic from Pearl Street Films and Exodus Film Group.

The coming-of-age drama tells the true story of an all-deaf high school track & field team from the Oregon School for the Deaf. The team overcame discrimination and adversity on their way to an unprecedented victory against much larger Oregon public schools—becoming the Oregon State Track & Field Champions in 1986.

Kotsur will play the lead role of Coach Farrior, with Dimarco playing an assistant coach. Bray will portray Mrs. Warner, the mother of the film’s co-lead Jake, whose journey the film follows. Casting for other roles is currently underway, with an eye towards filming in the spring.
