In a not too distant future, a young man's outlook on his home android begins to change after tracking the android's behavioral log to a mysterious cafe.

A girl's phone rings during a class. A boy tries to reproduce the ringtone and this becomes the spark that makes them meet, dream together and discover each other personal world.

In a future where androids are commonplace, Rikuo notices his home android Sammy acting strangely. Following her activity logs with his friend Masaki, they discover a mysterious café that changes their perspective on artificial life.

In a lively café numerous greatly varying conversations take place, including one between a man who appears depressed and the waitress.

In the far distant future... Humans are living in the underground shelters under the complete controlled situation. "Why has the world gone to ruin, and what have made humans stay in the shelters?" Every day the members of BUREAU OF PROT SOCIETY debate the cause of the fall of the world from the past documentary videos...probably.

This work "Kikumana" is an animation of a girl called Kikumana who acts like in a stage performance, the role defeated by such an ill circumstance though she tries to find herself. The primal aim is to get the audience feeling a strange atmosphere spread from this work. The image has a pictorial atmosphere and a documentary touch at the same time. Unrealistic phenomena take place there.

Rikuo Sakisaka and Masakazu Masaki stumble upon the Time of Eve café and become concerned about the androids.

Rikuo goes to the café in a grumpy mood. he ends up falling asleep. Upon waking up he finds his android playing the piano and is inspired to play as well.

Rikuo and Masakazu return to the Time of Eve café. This time they become involved in the relationship of Koji and Rina.

Masakazu deals with his unresolved childhood issues with his family's android.

An abandoned older-model android comes into the café, and Rikuo and Masakazu are afraid that it will explode if it drinks the coffee.

Rikuo becomes concerned that his Android, Sammy, is not only lying to him but also acting independently.
