Jesse Knight (affectionately known as "Uncle Jesse") was the Mormon entrepreneur who took an inspired chance on Silver City. His inspired chance paid off handsomely. Because of Jesse Knight's innovation, inspiration, hard work and investment; he put Silver City on the map among the most productive silver producing towns in America.
