The series offers a comedic, exaggerated look into the inner workings of a generic high school class where the teachers can barely understand their students' world. The show opens in the teacher's lounge, where the school's principal, Yohanan Lapid (played by Israel Aharoni, Israel's foremost celebrity chef and the star of the Israeli Master Chef), announces, on the first day of the school year, that this will be his last year on the job: the time has come for him to retire. The other teachers immediately click into competition mode - who will inherit his spot at the top?
