This fun new show from NHK starts out as an episodic type show about a young, green haired, and incredibly likeable woman police officer, who helps solves crimes involving non-Japanese foreign residents, interpreters and uses food to bridge the gap.
The show will make you hungry. Midway though, it changes quite a bit to a serial drama as we learn more about the reasons why our male star left the police force to become a police interpreter.
It's quirky, does a great job of humanizing ALL people and offers a realistic, yet subtle look at LGBTQ in Japanese policing.
The lead Nao is utterly charming in the lead role.

I watch a decent number of K-dramas and enjoy many including sappy, yet charming Hometown Cha Cha, Romance is a Bonus Book, 25/21 & Our Beloved Summer, but this show is NONE of these.
I'm 13 episodes in and bored out of my mind. The core focus on the main couple drags on & on & on, while the far more interesting siblings, friends, parents, etc get very little attention. So many are one-dimensional, stereotypical people that are poorly written. Side note: amazed how often many characters drink to the point of passing out, and yet no one is EVER bothered by it.
This is another example of a Kdrama that needs to fill 16 episodes when there are maybe 12 episodes of material. There is much great Korean content available and if you want something lightweight, but fun, you are better off with A Business Proposal over this drek.
