This movie took me by surprise with its wild plot, fresh execution, and strong direction. What could have easily turned into a disaster due to its unconventional storytelling instead flourished into a gripping and cohesive experience. The filmmakers deserve credit for sticking to the core narrative while pushing boundaries in form and structure.
The music complements the film beautifully, adding emotional depth and energy to an already compelling story. While this film may not appeal to everyone-especially those looking for conventional fare-those who connect with its theme will likely find it to be pure gold within its genre. A must-watch for adventurous movie lovers.

Heard a lot of good things about this movie and went in expecting a vintage Lalettan film with high rewatch value... but honestly, came out disappointed.
For me, the movie tried a bit too hard at the start-with family drama, narration, and AI-generated pictures-all to create that old-school Mohanlal vibe. But it didn't feel genuine, and I just couldn't connect with it. When everyone's praising it, I get it-we really miss those classic 90s Mohanlal movies. Those were pure gold and still hold up even after 20-30 years.
Thudarum is a decent attempt, but nowhere near the magic of vintage Mohanlal.
Also, don't really get why people are calling it Drishyam + Oppam. Oppam-just because of a fight in police custody? Drishyam worked because of its brilliant script and how the protagonist outsmarts the entire police force. That kind of smart writing is missing here. For me, Thudarum is just an average revenge story with a tragic climax that kills any rewatch potential.
Honestly, I felt Thudarum had more in common with the 2002 flop Chathurangam than with Drishyam or Oppam. (I actually liked the first half of Chathurangam, but the second half was a total mess!)
Tharun Moorthy shows promise as a director, and Thudarum isn't a bad film-it just didn't work for me. So yeah... still waiting for that true vintage Lalettan comeback.

Liked the movie very much... but... the ending could have made better. Not a big fan of open ending, where viewers can decide whatever be the ending. After so beautifully made a nice movie, I felt the director could have shown the courage to give a great ending of his own.. because, whatever be the ending, viewers would have liked to see how it ends in the director's view as this is his film anyway..
The movie is simple, powerful, thoughtful and is well portrayed. There is suspense, tension, emotion and the story is relatable to the viewers which makes the movie more engaging. There are many loopholes here and there in the story, still the movie overcomes it with a tight script. Wish the ending could have been better...
