I watched this limited series when it was first released and saw it as very novel and interesting. Not many sci fi programs deal with quantum theory so I was really impressed at the time. It is now 12 years later and this program comes across as pretentious and inconsistent as it pertains to the science. The pretentious part has to do with scenes like the couple stepping over their pet homeless person who lives in their doorway. Or the scene where Forest is eating his organic greens out of a plastic container. The giant child statue is also an example. As for the science in the show, writers confused time travel with the quantum many worlds theory so it is very silly once you grasp the concept of quantum mechanics and superposition. If you have nothing else to watch then this would be okay but if you are looking for theories supported by real scientists, this one isn't even close.
