How did this even make it to air?
It may have been 5 years ago but that this somehow was written, animated, edited, and approved to air on television for the world (especially impressionable kids) to see is a tragedy in my eyes.
How they were not fired on the spot and investigated for even proposing such an idea is an affront, and if you ask me, crossing the line into criminal territory.
I have no doubts that the people who brought such a monstrosity to life have deep, dark awful secrets not unlike those of Kyle Carrozza. I can only hope justice is served eventually, no matter how long it may take.

The Garfield Movie? More like The Garbage-field Movie.
I wanted to see this in theaters but never got the chance.
Finally seeing it on Netflix the other night, I realized what a huge mistake (and waste of money) that would have been.
Bland, paint-by-numbers, cliché, dumb generic plot, out-of-character, and most of all, BORING.
Even the 2004 movie is better than this. GARFIELD GETS REAL may even be better than this.
Who needed this? Who WANTED this? Nobody. This was just another soulless cash grab, a corporate piece of nothingness.
And it's blatantly obvious too from all the product placement in the movie and the story just going through the motions with no real twists or quirks to make it interesting. The characterization is way off too.
As far as I'm concerned, this is not canon, and I will refuse to acknowledge its existence going forward.
