I usually enjoy reading other comments about movies before watching them, but always make my own mind up in the end. I'll also add that there are some movies I really enjoyed that were given poor ratings on here. So to all of those people who enjoyed this movie, I apologize in advance for my poor rating! :) This movie had such poor acting, poor writing, and bad effects. Instead of being on the edge of my seat in suspense, I found myself gritting my teeth and sighing through most of this movie. The actions of the characters and the choices they made were completely ridiculous! I gave it a 2 out of 10 because it gave me something to watch late at night besides reruns. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, unless they chose to watch it purely out of boredom.
I went to see this movie after finding the previews funny on TV. I expected it to be mildly funny, but not hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a slapstick-type of comedy, but it wasn't the BEST comedy I've seen. Nor was it the WORST. I have read so many negative posts about this movie, and can't understand why. I find it hard to believe that some people were unable to find "one" funny part in this movie. I, personally, LOVE Jon Heder, and loved him in Napoleon Dynamite. His character was just as funny in this movie, and I liked all of the other supporting actors' roles. It was funny and entertaining overall. I don't feel that I wasted my money. Against my usual "rules", I took my 11 year old daughter to see this. After seeing the PG-13 rating, I was a little hesitant. But she's BIG into softball/baseball, and begged to see it. She LOVED it also, as did the rest of the theater audience. They were laughing equally as hard as we were.
I have two children, one who watches the Doodlebops. I just saw a "new" episode, and was compelled to check out what's going on at IMDb!! Here's what I like and don't like..... I DON'T like DeeDee's new hair AND makeup, the new studio puppet (lol), and the replacement for "Mazz". As far as I'm concerned, there is no replacement. I LOVED Mazz!! It seems everyone did! Jazz is not NEARLY as peppy and happy and Mazz seemed. I DO like DeeDee's new dress. Although it may be a bit tight and short for a kids' show, I think it's easier for her to move around and dance. I like that they cut Moe's hair out of his eyes, that was quite annoying to watch. I saw the new bus scene, and it didn't bother me much, but I have to agree with someone else's post about the bright, headache-inducing colors. Geez! Were the producers on acid!? I didn't see the whole episode from the beginning, but from what I saw, it's still watchable. :) I'm not being a hater, just voicing my opinion on the new changes. I HATED those fake ears they used to wear!! And are both the guys in this show gay, or just one? Anyway, even with all the changes, I will still continue to watch it and enjoy it, as will my indifferent 3 year old son. I'm SURE he didn't notice the small differences we notice.
