This lighthearted action-comedy is different than the typical Hallnark movie, especially the Christmas ones - it was funny without being silly, had good acting, crisp writing, an entertaining story. Surprisingly, lead actor Corey Sevier both directed and acted in The Christmas Charade, he's multi-talented enough to do both well and the end result was excellent. I've never seen Rachel Skarsten before and she was the perfect funny romantic foil for Mr. Sevier's serious scowling but lovable character. Doesn't hurt that he's a gorgeous man! I saved this on my DVR and will watch again. Another reviewer said these two are teaming up for another one, I can't wait! The typical Hallmark viewer probably won't enjoy this, it's not sappy or cheesy and while a Rom-Com, it's not the usual formula. Thank you, Hallmark, for giving us something different!
I enjoyed the historical re-enactments as well as the discussions by historians and university professors. A miniseries on INSP that is much better than anything on cable or network TV, it depicts real people in the American west and is both entertaining and educational. Sad that comic book heroes are glorified on TV instead of these actual American heroes who played a large part in civilizing the American West. I grew up watching westerns on TV and the shows on now and the movies produced by Hollywood are mostly dreadful.
I'd love to see more shows like this one - good acting by young attractive unknown actors and a well done series.
