...K-Drama, whodunnit, no question. Watched this because of the director, Ahn Gil-ho, who has directed, "Glory" and "Memories of the Alhambra", which I had just watched prior to this series and both are highly recommended. But I also wanted to see Shin Hae sun again after seeing her in, "My Golden Life", another highly recommended series. The acting was so westernised, except for one character, who had a minor role. Surprised the BBC or another like TV production company, hasn't picked up this story, they would only need to delete the Korean hieracracy, of continuosly bowing and talking up to anyone that's superior in status/rank and age. Season 1 was much more easily understood and followed but season 2, seemed to go off on a lot of plots, before making sense in the last few episodes, except for one plot that one was lead to believe that a superior may sort it out but one was left hanging with nothing much more said about it, maybe something got lost in translation. If you have acquired the taste for K-Dramas, then this one has to be on your watch list.
.."2 Weeks Notice", with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock, but, being a K-Drama, it had the obvious Korean sub plot. First time seeing both leads, Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young, but very impressed with her and hope to find more with her in them, but thought any Korean actor could have played the male lead. There were a number of supporting actors who seemed to have done the same in a number of other K-Dramas, actually too many to name. But thought this K-Drama used all the Rom-Com formulas and I didn't think there was too much originality in this series, just a well produced production. If you have acquired a taste for K-Dramas, you could do worse by not adding this to your watch list.
...as sequels go, I forgot Ben Aflecks character had autistic tendencies. Story fell into place as the film progressed. Action scenes were a little too well choreographed, too much like another day at the office, but funnyingly enough, I accepted it. Always thought if Ben Afleck was involved, at least the production would be top notch and it was. But the way ward kids with highly tuned keyboard skills still has to be taken with spoonfuls of salt. If you liked the original Accountant, I think you'll like the sequel, Accountant 2, put this on you watch list, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
