Introverted young woman Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) is a novelist with a series of best-seller novels starring a secret agent called Argylle (Henry Cavill) and who soon is plunged into an overwhelming scenario. So, the plot of her books get a little too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate. She only lives with her beloved cat Alphie, but her life changes suddenly when she becomes involved in a twisted conspiracy of international espionage when her fictitious plots are brought to reality. As Aidan (Sam Rockwell), a spy, appears to save her from being abducted, Elly and her adorable cat are drawn into a covert world where nobody and nothing is what it seems.

Henry Cavill (Man of steel), Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World saga) star Argylle, a spy comedy by Matthew Vaughn, following his own style, he's responsible of spectacular movies such as: "Kick-ass", "Kingsman: Secret service" with full of unstopped action and comedy. "Argylle" is a stirring and amazing movie, it is also singer Dua Lupas's film debut who joins a casting with plenty of big stars , among them: Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a dangerous mind), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), John Cena (Fast and Furious saga). It is interesting wait to the mysterious scene post-final credits, set some years before. The plot is a little bit ridiculous, but we are in a fun spoof action comedy filled with twists and turns. It is developed with breathtaking set pieces, fast-paced; besides, abound surprises, being very funny and bemusing, though overlong. In the picture there's intrigue, emotion, non-stop action, hilarious scenes, tongue-in-cheek, and shootouts galore, with impressively moving tableau. The screenplay is nicely developed as well as characters and the frenetic action, adding the excellent FX that are varied of these too. From start to finish amusement and entertertainment are continued.

The pic was professional but unevenly directed by Matthew Vaughn. He's a good writer, producer (Guy Ritchie movies) and director; producing or directing blockbuster films, such as: "Layer Cake", "X First Class", "Stardust", "Kick ass", "Rocket man", "Silent night", "Tetris", "Blood night", among others. Rating: 5.5/10.

The son (Joselito) of an oíl magnate arrives in Madrid with his parents (Luis Prendes, Marisa Merlini) to spend the holidays and befriends a group of somewhat conflicted boys and girls. Shortly after, he meets a young Venetian girl with whom he falls in love, but then Joselito is pursued the evil gang that causes all all sorts of mischief.

A musical melodrama, to Joselito's greater glory. Co-produced with France and Italy, it was shot in various countries, showcasing the attractive exteriors of Madrid, Rome, and especially Venice with its wonderful canals. Directed by Manuel Mur Oti, who, unlike child prodigy films, gives Joselito the opportunity to break away from his usual roles, playing here a teenager in trouble who, due to these problems, attempts redemption by taking on hard work, even as a gondolier. For all these reasons, the movie turns out to be a soap opera with songs, but it fails to overcome the infalible formula of troubled teen films. And also fails to successfully make the leap from childhood to adulthood, although his distinctive singing style is still unforgettable. However, some of his voice changes significant compared to his classic sounds -nicknamed nightingale- of the past.

In this movie , he ends up falling in love, while driving a car, is chased by young delinquents, gets into a fight, and goes to work to make amends. The curious thing is that he still has almost the same face as his previous films, the same height, and similar appearance, although his voice has changed. Therefore, it's somewhat ridiculous to see him driving a car, falling in love, or working with older people, while maintaining his same figure as always. Joselito's career was short but flourishing. It was the actor and singer Luis Mariano who convinced him to act together in Paris and gave him work on French radio and television. Discovered by Antonio del Amo, he directed him in 8 of his 14 films. These films were not as successful as expected, so Joselito retired from acting and singing, dedicating himself to other tasks, even working as a mercenary in some African countries.

Angela Jolie brights to life the legendary opera singer, the famed diva Maria Callas, in this biopic that develops the last week of the artist in 70s París. She only lives at his apartment with her chauffer (Pierfrancesco Favino) and maid (Alba Rohrwacher). Along the way, Maria Callas confronts and reckons with her life and identity. The famous greek-american soprano still harbors hopes of doing a splendorous comeback, but unfortunately her voice is failing. Meanwhile, she's interviewed by a young reporter (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and has records about Aristotle Onassis (Haluk Bilginer), JFK (Caspar Phillipson) and a meeting with her sister (Valeria Golino).

This sui-generis biopic tells Maria Callas' last week , a sad final , as tragic as the operas she performed throughout her troublesome life. It is a slow-moving and brooding film in which depicts her reclusive life away from the public eye, revealing her downfall and glory moments by means of flashbacks. An uneven story with plenty of dreams, unhappiness, hardship, dissappointment and tragedy. The movie reimagines the legendary diva in the last days, remembering her past times, with continuous flaskbacks , including his relationships with Onassis, and brief appearance of JFK. After "Jackie" (about Jackie Kennedy) and "Spencer" (about Lady Di) filmmaker Pablo Larrain closes his trilogy about iconic and famous women with this "Maria" (2024).

The motion picture was professionally directed by Pablo Larrain, though results to be slow and really boring. Being Oscar nominated for the best cinematography (2025). Larrain's first feature film was "Fuga" (2005), his second movie "Tony Manero" premiered at the Directors' Fornight of the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. In 2015, he released "Neruda", starring Gael García Bernal. And later on, "Jackie" starring Natalie Portman who was Oscar nominated for Best actress.
