Okeey. We had Doodeind and Sl8n8. They both weren't great movies. But they were the first Dutch horrors in like 18 years or something, so it was an "okeey" start.

First of all. Horizonica is going straight to DVD. That doesn't mean that this movie isn't good! This movie is really okeey for a Dutch production. The special effects really suck and the story is one big rip-off! The zombies look okeey but not to scary.

This movie is about a few students who get dropped in a forrest and this virus breaks free. Zombies, stupid blonde girls, deep dark forrest, lots of gore, lots of guns, lots of fun! This movies is so stupid that it's funny. You might say it's Dawn Of The Dead meets Shawn Of The Dead and they both meet Blair Witch Project ft. Hatchet vs. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Yes there are some chainsaws in Horiconica). But hey! It's funny! Great Dutch production!

Before Sl8n8 there was Doodeind. Unfortunately Doodeind wasn't such a great movie. The actors were bad, the story was a cliché bomb and the special effects were (for what I've seen in other Dutch movies) awful. Victoria Koblenko played in both movies. She sucked in Doodeind but did a great job in Sl8n8! Maybe it's because she played the main part in Sl8n8 and had just a little one in Doodeind.

The story is really scary. You're lost in a mine and there's some freak-show chasing you with his big knife. But... it's your own fault! A girl got in a car accident with her father and he dies. He has this huge mine and the girl decides to check it out with some friends. They have fun and think "Hey! Why not make contact with some ghost while we're in a dark mine which is going to collapse in I don't know... like 5 minutes?". The story may be scary but it doesn't make any sense. But okay. They make contact with some fire-ghost freak-show and he starts chasing them. This movie gets really scary and there's lots of gore! So much better than Doodeind. If you get the chance... Watch this movie!

The Skeleton Key is one of the most underrated movies ever. That's unbelievable cause it's just pure entertainment! The actors are doing really well and the story is interesting. At first I didn't had high expectations. But I was wrong. It turned out to be a great movie. It's scary in it's own way and it kept me watching till the end (which doesn't happen really often).

Kate Hudson does a great job (which I didn't really expect from her). I never thought she could play a role like this (After seeing what kind of roles she already played in other movies), but she really surprised me! I really liked the "I don't believe" scene! This movie is definitely worth watching. It leaves you satisfied. It has a great story and an even better ending! Go Kate!
