I rarely review movies. Can't even remember how I found this one, but I enjoyed it very much. I myself am a martial arts person. Started when I was 15 and now at 45 years old I kind of feel related to this movie and it's protagonist. This film has heart, and the way Brent Foster impregnates his character with it is special. Makes him look humble and in some way resigned to a life full of nostalgia and sadness.

I'll be looking forward to more Bren Foster's projects in the future.

Great action and choreography. For those having a hard time understanding this film, I believe it was made with the intention of portraying the emptiness that's left after a martial artist is at the end of his prime career and wants to settle down.

Thank you Brent for this movie, I'm sure it was very special to you and for many others that feel related.

So why did j gave this 9 stars? Because it was well written, majestically directed and acted.

I understand it isn't loyal to the books, and sometimes the main characters were a bit too gay for my taste but who cares nowadays? The twists and changes made were honestly real good and added new sentiment to the series, Anderson and Reid were really good and their chemistry onscreen is terrific, I was expecting a disaster but from the beginning I started watching and assuming in mind that I had to be open minded and thinking I was watching just an alternate history from another multiverse and that did the trick. Of course I was always comparing with the books and sometimes sad they didn't follow them to the core but the mix of twists and changes caught me up all at the end and delivered an enormous sensation of completeness after the last episode. Sad Anne Rice couldn't see contemplate this and their fans reactions, and somehow I feel like Christopher Rice has his touch all over this, my faith in the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles has been restored and eagerly waiting for a second season.

I went to the cinema with my girlfriend since she wanted to watch this movie. I'm Venezuelan and I have to sincerely admit that this movie is pretty terrible... The costumes, the acting, the screenplay, everything was terrible and poorly done. The main actor, Jorge Reyes did a decent job as well as some other actors, but overall the acting was terrible and very predictable. We can see later in the movie the actor Danny Glover, but I don't know if he was the right choice for his role, since he only appeared about 2 minutes in the whole movie.

Overall I give this movie a 4 ranking out of 10, I didn't liked it but I guess some people will do.
