I watched it only cause Alfred Hitchcock directed this espionage thriller. During the first part I hesitated to switch off the dvd but I gave a chance for some more minutes. Why? Because I hate long paced movies with many dialogs. But then the filming locations changed and the story got more and more interesting. The actors did all a great work here and the music was brilliant. For all who want to know more about Cuba revolution with Russian cooperation this could be for you. But I don't think to see it quick again.

It was interesting to see this thriller from the master Alfred Hitchcock. Even if it's black and white there are places many fugitive and why not adventure scenes in this crime movie.

For the suspense moments I think it is not so much evolved like in the Mission Impossible or James Bond movies of nowadays but the entertaining value is given anyway.

The main actors did a good job for these roles that weren't so challenging in this story.

Not to forget that it has been released in 1942 midst of the Second World War.

So that's why I have to congratulate all the staff that meanwhile it has passed away but I hope they will read or see it anyway.

It's an amazing story based on true events.

It was even better than I have expected.and with great suspense. Yes, especially the last scene was so exciting and breathtaking.

These people who sqved at any price thousands of refugees touched me a lot and I have great respect for them.

God bless you. I don't want to spoil any other facts here just watch it and make yourself an opinion. The pictures were shot beautifully, the landscapes and filming locations were wonderful. The director made a good work like the other actors. Congratulations to all the staff and this is why I rate it 8/10. It is too underrated and should earn more credits. If you liked it you should see Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis or Black Hawk Down from Ridley Scott.
