Forbidden Affair with My Husband

This is a 3-layer romance story. The leads are all of these at one time throughout the movie: 1. Anonymous contract marriage partners. 2. Lovers at a Masquerade Club 3. Boss and secretary. The storyline runs as an intermixing of these relationships which keeps it interesting, if not intriguing. There are subplot arcs within each relationship. It kept me engaged throughout until the relationships merge in the final episodes. Since vertical story writing is typically so canned, this was fresh and enjoyable. The antagonism was limited enough that it did not obliterate the plot arcs. The acting was credible.

Naturally, the viewer has to cut some slack on the production details....like the leads wearing the same clothes when moving into different characters and the half-masks worn hardly hiding recognizable facial features....but I was ok suspending disbelief to enjoy the story.

The 2 leads were not exactly perfect physical match-ups, but they managed enough onscreen chemistry to make it work.
