Sustali Ceylan

Very early to review a new Turkish series but let me be the first. Episode 1 - 3 are engrossing to watch that I put this series on top of my "watch list" (Sustali Ceyln, Leyla, Siyah Kalp, Esref Ruya - in that order).

Great plot, outstanding actors, gripping scenes, brilliant acting - especially the female lead (Sümeyye Aydogan). Sometimes the male lead is distracting (too good-looking, he's not one of those popular actors you always see on turkish series) but a good actor nonetheless.

Watching episode 5 (latest as of this writing) and Ceylan's superb acting never cease to amaze. Even the small kid's (Ceylan's son) acting is impeccable.

Although and of course, like all Turkish series (yes, ALL) there are nonsensical scenes and subplots, but acceptable to make-up for the 2-hour episode every week.

My hope is that the writers and director won't ruin the whole story by injecting ridiculous sub-plots into the series like they always do with most Turkish tv series. Please don't ruin this one, it's one of the good ones.

Perhaps, this might be the best one that came out in 2025. Good cast of actors, serious acting, and exciting plot. The story is something that hasn't been used widely in turkish series. Episodes 1 - 4 leads the way to how Ceylan got into the underworld mafia scene. I think this series is going better. The actor behind the character of Ceylan is really good and of course the veteran Celil Nalcakan is there, plus the ensemble of supporting actors.

The depiction of women oppression is there just as in many turkish series, but the female lead character shows strength and may take revenge.

Love this series at the moment.
