If you think you are getting an action movie you will be sorely mistaken, due to obvious budget implications this movie is more like a drama....or a "war soap opera".
Where the film is shot is not convincing, I don't feel like Im traveling through 1940s Europe, but some American forest.
The writing shows a true lack of understanding of what WW2 conflict was about, or the military in general and thusly the actors are not to able to portray this film accurately enough for the time period. The movie also rambles on in scenes, since the budget is low, and action scenes scarce, they try to write in scenes with supposedly deep, profound conversations but its just boring and cheesy.
Even the scenes of tension are lame, like the soldier hiding behind a door he would obviously have been seen by anyone, heck a 2 year old would have found him.
Then there is a scene where they just let some German soldiers go, (of course the decision comes back to haunt them) its completely unbelievable and lame you can tell the writer of this movie, never spent a day in the military, neither did the Director or any of the Producers.
BTW, there were like 3 pages of posts talking about how great this movies was 2 weeks ago, but it looks like IMDb dumped them all, I knew it was to good to be true, and when I turned the movie on, I was like yup, knew it...thank goodness it was a torrent!

It was a OK movie, it was well produced and edited fine. The biggest problem this film had was that it seems to be a rehash of every war film ever made, the same scenes, dialogue, story line we have seen before. Nothing original at all and that seems sad because there seems to be potential for what could have been a great movie. The one highlight of the film was the supporting lead Tino Struckmann he is a very gifted actor, really good performance. exciting to watch and clearly the most talented actor in the movie. Just sad the movies story did not match a great performance, just as it is a shame he did not have a bigger part, as there were story plots sadly left not pursued by the director. The worst thing was the lead bad guy continuously ranting on in a made up language, not German nor English, that was just a very bad piece of acting and writing if it was written? It could have been much better and missing a lot of action very dull slow going.
Cody Keach as the Private is not too bad, but the rest of the male actors leave a bit to be desired. Also, some of the outlandish feats of the private are not too believable. The nurses are fine, but their scripts are a bit uneven at times. The production values also leave a lot to be desired, but considering the budget, they did the best they could.
The story of nurses and soldiers caught between German and American lines after D-Day, seemed more like a Battle of the Bulge situation than D-Day. However, there is no real chemistry between the actors in the film, and ultimately, that is its downfall. Find something else to view.

A good war drama - NOT jampacked action. Don't be mislead by the poster. It follows a young soldier and his comrades as they try to get to safety in the final months of WWII in France. The presence of the army nurses made this different, and the character introspection made it a heartfelt story that I appreciated. I felt for the characters and their struggles. Pretty good WWII story.
If you expect a realistic war movie skip this one. The plot is weak and the whole story very unbelievable. The surroundings are wrong for the setting and just to make sure we know they are Germans they put big flags on their cars. Sometimes even in the wrong way! And as usual all Germans speak English again. Actually they speak better German than English because I could not understand most of the so-called German. The so-called French man in the movie also speaks English, they don't even speak English there now, let alone back in 1944! And a German soldier asking them if they can speak English? Come on! No, sorry: if you really have nothing to do maybe you can have a look at it but my advise: look for something else. This one is unrealistic and above all quite predictable.

- AnecdotesThe only female nurse ever captured the Germans was First Lieutenant Reba Zitella Whittle. A C-47 plane Lt. Whittle was riding on was shot down over Belgium by German flak gunners on September 27, 1944 Lt. Whittle survived the crash and was taken prison, She was given a very gentle interrogation and given treatment for receiving a concussion from the crash. Lt. Whittle was than sent to an Allied POW Camp for wounded Allied soldiers to assist the British doctors! On January 25, 1945 Lt. Whittle was put on a train along with Allied POW's considered by the Germans no longer fit for service and sent to Switzertland to be released.
- GaffesApproximately 17:15 into the movie, after the Americans ambushed the truck, two soldiers come around the back. You see a dead German soldier laying down in the back of the truck with his feet facing the camera. The tread on his right boot is of a Vietnam-era Jungle Boot with the diamond on the heel. You can even see the two metal grommets on the side of the leather and can make out the canvas of the boot.
