As an ecchi anime fan, Beheneko caught my eye when it was announced. The promise of charming girls paired with a medieval epic infused with J. R. R. Tolkien-esque flair had me hooked from the start. I pictured a world of grand battles, deep lore, and playful fan service-everything I crave in a series like this.

When 2025 rolled in, Beheneko arrived, and I was ready to dive in. Is it bad? Not quite. Is it good? I wouldn't say that either. It's like rooting for a sports team tipped to win the championship, only to see them fizzle out in the playoffs. The potential was there-Aria's quest, Tama's mysterious power, a kingdom teetering on ruin-but it never ignited. The narrative stumbled, feeling flat and uninspired. By episode 5, I could've walked away without a second thought.

The characters intrigued me at first. Aria's determination and the quirky harem had charm, while the world hinted at a rich history of ancient relics and shadowy foes. Yet, the storytelling failed to capitalize on this foundation. It dragged, lacking the excitement to pull me in, leaving epic battles-like the demon lord clash in the finale-as rare bursts in a sea of mediocrity.

The fan service? Average at best. There were moments-Tama's transformations, a few playful scenes-but nothing memorable or applause-worthy. For an ecchi fan, it barely scratched the itch.

It pains me to say Beheneko is an anime that "could have been." It's not terrible, but it fades into the attic of forgettable series, lost among countless others that never rose above the crowd. The finale was decent, yet it couldn't salvage the unfulfilled promise.

Nothing original here. I died and respawned with god-mode turned on. The action scenes are just okay when you can actually see them, but good luck spotting combat between the nonstop boob shots, random up-skirts, and endless bubble-baths hijacking every other frame. It's the same old recipe, but with more nipples.

This is strictly a fan-service effort, basically 80s porn with a barebones "plot". Whatever "work" went into the "story" was wasted. It's just filler so we can zoom in on tits. Did I mention boobs? Can't forget them and you wont either if you watch this. Does this review mention boobs too much? Ok, great thats the show in a nutshell.

That could have been interesting, after all, a sword did it, so why not a cat?

Except this is humourless, and dull.

This anime is about large breasted characters wearing revealing outfits, and exposing those breasts once an episode.

The cat is overpowered right from the start, with the main female character becoming overpowered within 6 episodes. That means there is no character growth, and no real tension.

The animators, writers, and voice actors, have to wonder where their careers derailed, and they ended up on this slop.

This is one of the worst isekai out there, and unfortunately, they seem to be getting worse.

We got reincearnated as a spider , as a dog, as a mop , as a slime , as a dragon , as a vending machine , a sword and now a cat . . .

This anime was alike dog reincarnation one and im sorry , all characters had their souls sucked out of them . The writer did not bother give characteristic ideas to any character . Why would they ?

If all characters had own interest and backstory they may not want a cat for romantic interest maybe?

Was not a great watch . I had even found myself checking time to how much of the episode left remaining.

I only watched frist 6 episodes of frist season but i think that is enough.

This is more watchable than reincarnated as a dog . Does some things right . Still---another junk added to isekai garbage mountain.

I think this anime is a keeper, I give it a 8/10, if it didn't have the cross dressing guy's in it I would happily give it a 10/10 A guy get's reincarnated into the form of a cute little cat that can grow up into a Behemoth, and keep's meeting girl's that want to have babies with him lol.

He maybe the Elf girl's pet by choice, and call her his master, but he stay's by her side to protect her whenever she get's into things that are to deep for her.

It began serialization on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in August 2017.

It was later acquired by Micro Magazine, which began publishing it under its GC Novels imprint in March 2018. A manga adaptation illustrated by Taro Shinonome began serialization in Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi magazine in March 2018 before being transferred to the Young Animal magazine in July of the same year. An anime television series adaptation produced by Zero-G and Saber Works aired from January to March 2025.
