This is the best FIFA game to date. It seems to be the complete package. It is great from Ultimate Team to Career to playing online. There really are no downfalls to the game.
Everything seems to be even in the sense that there is nothing that is TOO overpowered like in the old FIFA games with speed abuse. This game deserves to be the most sold sports title of the year due to how realistic it has become.
If you are into sports games, I would completely recommend this game to you even if you do not like soccer. It will make a non-soccer fan turn into a soccer fan in my eyes.

I'm my option this game was just what I wanted for an average football game with the ability to play matches of your choice the to even create your on characters. Although the graphics are no where near as good as the newest fifa games (fifa 16 and on) but it's good enough to have a nice feel of a real match.
The gameplay is really easy to handle for the controls and when you get use to playing the game after a few days the control buttons will feel very comfortable in the game

Nothing new was really added to this one, which was kind of depressing. The graphics are just bad. It's 2013 EA, get it together already. This game is so bug-filled that I could take a bath in them. FUT would be great, except it's really buggy, and the fitness/contract aspects of it are a joke. It's basically just a way to get you to spend real money on it. The goalies are just plain awful. I have one of the best in the game, and he misses nearly every shot, and will literally jump out of the way of the ball at times. The only thing that Fifa 14 really has going for it is the physics engine, which does make it pretty realistic. The commentary was also pretty great, and made it feel like there were real people watching and commenting on your every move. Overall this game is just boring and depressing, and I really hope they fix all its problems for Fifa 15, but at the rate things are going, I highly doubt it.
Sometimes you have got to give the producers credit, I am sorry to hear they work very hard and maybe we are abit harsh, I think whilst some of the older games are hit 'n' miss pardon the pun, I think the games are BETTER then we make out, and I am sorry for that.
The look of the game is stunning for it's time, the Visuals are truly groundbreaking. The look of the snow has a good look to it, and is aesthetically pleasing on the eyes. The stars are also very good, they always look well polished and clean, and I like the more colourful look, although the yellow is a nice take too. Like the Imdb format, which works quite nicely.
I do like seeing the ratings of the players, it's always fun before every match you played, every career you progressed In, it seems fun and nice to do. And it just had a fun sense, excited on how to improve on your players.
One thing of note too, is your players can score from anywhere, which is a good thing as it was realistic, along Side the movement of the opposing and defensive teams, but it takes one to snow one. So with the nice snow effects, and effects in general, and it's realism, I'd ask as to what we're others thoughts.
I'd rate this a 9 because I love the simpler and more realistic gameplay. And in the wise words of Tom Holland, "Football is the greatest sport of all time" chow.

Another installment in the football simulation series, "FIFA 14" became the new go-to game for the year. Overall, this entry was enjoyable, offering slightly improved graphics and more "human-like" players on the pitch. A new game brings a new batch of changes - and this time, they were actually quite noticeable.
At first glance, everything feels familiar: classic matches, career mode, licensed teams, and the chance to lead your favorite club to football glory. From the very first match, though, it's clear the gameplay has become smoother and more realistic. Player movements were tweaked, shots looked more natural, and interactions on the field felt better overall.
One of the key innovations was "Pure Shot". Now players approach the ball in different ways, adjust their balance, and if they find the right position - they hit it with real power. Players could also shoot from awkward angles, and shot animations varied quite a bit. This made goals more diverse and satisfying to score.
Another noticeable upgrade - defenders finally started to "think". Well, more accurately, the AI got a bit better at handling them. Defenders began to cover zones more intelligently, support attacks, and even form up properly during counterattacks. It no longer felt like you were playing against the whole opponent team solo, while your defenders just stood around watching the game with you.
The developers also introduced a scouting system that operates throughout the entire year. Scouts would find promising players, analyze their stats, and suggest transfer targets. Sounds great - though I barely used it. Like many others, I just went to the transfer list, bought whoever I wanted, and called it a day. Still, for those who enjoy deeper management, it was a nice addition.
Even though it was basically a slightly improved version of the previous year's game, "FIFA 14" felt better than its predecessors when it came out. It was fun and engaging to play, the shooting felt varied and powerful, the defense was smarter, and the matches looked just a bit more lifelike. I spent countless hours, evenings, and days in this game, and no matter how much people bash "EA" for their yearly updates - "FIFA 14" was solid. At least for me.
8 out of 10.
