The movie "Lost in Translation" wasn't this Lost in Translation.
I wasn't aware upfront this was an anthology of short gay-themed films. I bought this movie on Amazon cold with the idea this was a sweet gay-Asian love story. Incorrect. SOME of it's Asian and NONE of it is Sweet.
Admittedly, as the shorts progressed, they got easier to understand, but still all-over-the-place. Maybe I'm just not used to the cultures or short artsy films. I DID like the last 2 shorts the best. So at least they saved the best for last.
Not recommended. Unless you're heavily into the underground micro-budgeted LGBTQIA+ experiments.

Final Thoughts: When I just came out...many moons ago, I purchased the first "Boy's Life" DVD From 1995, another LGBTQIA+ collaboration of short films. In this case, it was simple coming out stories. I still have that for nostalgia and I need to revisit that someday. Haven't seen it in just shy of 30 years. (Wow... have DVDs been out that long? Gosh I'm old.) I still own this movie, but haven't even thought about it in as many years. I really need to revisit it soon.
