This is a beautifully made drama but with no essence or substance.

I love the slow pace and how intimate they present every scene to you. There's something magical about how they show parts of Chinese culture, music, folklore and of course food. There's a big food theme in every episode and it is truly fascinating how wonderfully every recipe and sensation is described.

The acting is great and honestly the chemistry between the leads is fantastic too. I adore Zhou Ye, and couldn't recognize her when she has transformed into a shy, naive and inexperienced young woman for this role. You can see her in other dramas like Back from the Brink of Scent of time and she can really act!

Tan Jian Ci's role would not let him shine as his character was very stiff, flat and expressionless, and the only times you could really enjoy him was when he was having romantic moments with the female lead, then his eyes would say everything. Again, great chemistry.

My issue with this drama is that there's no plot whatsoever. Nothing ever happens. It's just a simple and extremely lighthearted storyline where there are just scenes of fluffy unrealistic romance. It gets to a point where is very cringe to watch adult actor behaving like teenagers. I get that this sells in Asia and they romanticize the idea of inexperienced, naive, and innocent to the point of being embarrassed if someone applies medicine on your forearm, but it is not normal at all. It was also cringe to watch 30 year old men chasing after college students and gave grooming vibes when the portrayal of the female leads was so childish.

So although I really like how this drama has been created and produced, It really bored me to death. I recommend it for children or teenagers who are just starting to watch dramas and they just want happy scenes of fluffy romance. Otherwise skip.

I am so in love with this drama. Even its plot doesn't have lots of twists but that is how it was from the original novel: all sugar/ happy , lovey dovey and no drama.

Its a healing drama that make you smile, giggle and happy when you watch it. I watched it 2-3 time already as its so sweet and lovely.

For me Tan Jianci is the most amazing in it , he is so gorgeous with beautiful eyes that expresses so much love and adore to the female lead. Plus his voice dubbing skill is so excellent and i enjoy his singing so much. There is so much love and chemistry between the two main leads. I enjoy all the songs which was sang by Tan Jianci , such a beautiful, mesmerising and emotional voice . Magnificent show of voice dubbing , singing and Chinese traditional music.

Highly recommend for a stress-free, feel good, healing and heart-warming experience. This is a simple story but it has so much in each episode - music, singing, great food with simple executed cooking recipes, a good show of how dubbing and OST in cdramas are done, camaraderie amongst friends and good, derp, sweet romance. I watched each episode with a smile on my face and some episodes gives you butterflies in the stomach. I learnt some new simple delicious recipes and practical points on cooking. There are some slow moments but overall still ok pace. The only thing negative perhaps is the romance of the second couple as they didn't seem to have much connection or common topics. But the wonderful connection between both the main leads and the way the entire cast get along with each other is just great. This series is on my re-watch list.

First few episodes were really good. But after the 10th episode, it really started getting dragged. It would have been more engaging if it was a short 24 episode drama. Few episodes towards the end got really boring and had to skip. And there were too many side characters which I personally didn't think was necessary in the story.

The music used in this drama is really good. It really gave of some traditional Chinese music vibes where ever the story required.

Really love this drama. This is having a relationship really is. No twist plots and misunderstandings. No evil characters and no one is trying to interfere. When you're watching this drama, you'll get a smiling face all the time. Such a relaxing for a hard day work.

The hero in this drama is the best boyfriend I've ever seen in so many dramas. He is gentle and kind. He knows how to respect. Such a good model for all the male who want to have a good relationship.

I especially love the scenes when our hero is singing . Which was actually singing by the actor himself.

The music, the views, and the foods in this drama is so fantastic. This drama is like our daily life. Going out with friends and enthusiasm for the same goal.

If you like Chinese culture, food, and music, you'll enjoy this drama as much as I do. If you're trying to relax, this drama is your best choice.
