Okay so I waited for all episodes to air so I could binge watch this series, I like Leo Wu a lot, he is one of the few actors who I feel can act so well without uttering a single word, his eyes speak his dialogues, and he conveys a lot from his face. It was my first time watching Zhao Jin Mai, and she didn't disappoint either, though I would say the emotions of the ML one upped hers, probably because he is a slightly better actor. I loved most of the characters, but I especially loved the character of Wang Xing Yue, who I liked in other shows as well. His character was great and his acting spot on. The eight stars are mainly for the superb actors, everyone very good looking and some great at acting as well, two stars less because the show seemed slow to progress, a lot of romance and a lot of sport, with no convincing story. Sport lovers might love this show more, I would have appreciated a little more depth to the story. I was happy a lot of the series was shown to be shot in Finland, with lots of English dialogues, and thankfully Leo Wu's English is so much better than some other actors'. Overall, a great one-time-watch, nothing much to write back home about though! Watch it if you love Leo Wu and slow burn romances.

It's not a strong story, nothing really happens. It's just a story about a first love. It has a very slow pace, every little step of theirs relationship is shown. I loved how they portrayed their first love. It was lighthearted and cute. I read in a review that in every episode something between them makes your heart take a jump and it's true. They were so unbelievably cute together. Lin Yiyang truly is a gem. Who doesn't want a boyfriend like him?! He takes so good care of her, he showed his love with small and big gestures.
Everything goes perfect in the series, no misfortunes at all, it really is picture perfect. Near the ending of the series that felt forced. Nothing in life goes thát great. 😉 The OST suited the series as well.

The perfect natural chemistry of the leads is the main selling point. Wu Lei and Zhao Jinmai off the chart chemistry resonates well with the audience. Both actors have the most expressive eyes that captures the viewers. You believe in their character and you believe in their romance. A kind of pairing that is effortlessly real - a force to be reckoned with.
The beautiful cinematography and blending of the right music really matches well with the tone of every scene. Amidst a snowstorm of love hits all the right notes. There's something with the way the story is told that is addictive. Undoubtedly, one of the most romantic series. A must watch...

'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love' captivates viewers with its compelling storyline, rich character development, and stunning cinematography. The drama beautifully explores themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience against the backdrop of a snowy landscape in Finland, drawing audiences into its enchanting world from the very first episode. The emotional depth and heartfelt moments woven throughout the series make it a truly memorable and impactful viewing experience. The OST are very good as well. I'm soooooooo in love with this drama and all the cast that I re-watched it almost 10 times already. I love the love and understanding between Lin Yiyang and Yin Guo, and the friendship of all character. It gave me the positive vibe and I was happy, smiling every time I watched it, even didn't want it to end. Of all the drama I have ever watched, this is my no. 1, the best romantic drama.
I have become the fan of the actors and actresses in this drama now, not only Wu Lei and Zhao Jinmai, but also Chen Jingke (I really like the scene he said "Wo Dong Le". Hahaha. He's really funny.), Han Donglin, Wang Xingyue, Dong Zifan, etc. I hope they collab again in other drama soon.

The chemistry is just on another level. All of the actors is just something, it's felt like it's not an acting at all. The main character will make you giggling in every second. Like every second, feels like there is a butterfly in my stomach 🦋🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's on of the best C-Drama I've been watched. And the best C-Drama in 2024 so far.
Lin Liyang, will make u want to have a boyfriend like him, he is the green forest. Oh, I've not telling about what this drama about. Well, it's about a pro billiard athlete (Lin Liyang), who is retired and move away to Finland (if I'm not mistaken the country) and then meet our heroine (Yin Guo) who also pro billiard athlete. And you should watch to know what happen next. Haha.

A very qualified and sweet modern drama, I feel it's surpassing even the sweetness portrayed in the novel.
Especially the male lead Wu Lei, embodies my ideal type with his sharp eyebrow starry eyes, and captivating jawline, despite his youthfulness, he exudes a strong sense of masculinity.
Both leads deliver very stable performances that are both sweet and convincing. The plot avoids excessive melodrama and unnecessary separations to ensure audience satisfaction; it is a very decent drama.
Particularly noteworthy is Wu Lei's transformation into a truly sexy and charming character as he matures throughout the drama. His tender affectionate gaze towards the female lead deeply immerses me in their love story! He portrays an enamored boyfriend who longs for possession of his beloved woman.

Sorry but despite all my best efforts I've dropped the drama. Everything is wrong. The world of snooker is boring as hell, the characters fly all the way to Finland to eventually meet only Chinese people and not take advantage of this beautiful country. They eat all the time just for the sake of it and there is a lot of empty moments. Yes the main couple is sweet etc but it's a far cry from a hit like Hidden Love.
All the secondary characters are superficial as well.
My last straw when he takes her to see the sky in a special island. They are blatantly in France in Annecy! There are many other c drama out there that deserve more attention.

Amidst the snow storm of love Is a fantastic C drama with amazing leads especially Wu lei.. He is absolutely stunning in his role. He is one of the best artists ... story is so good and loved the cast... a must watch C drama. Gives Hidden love vibes... Wu lei as Liiyang holds your breath... loved him very much In legendary Love like the galaxy... He is a phenomenal and now this series is one of my most favourite... Zhao jinmai is also good in her role, cute...
Along with this there are bunch of handsome men around the leads... Story is so clean and their bonding with each other is so sweet to watch... Episode 1 seems bit slow but later picks up quickly... Overall it is one the Best C dramas I have watched recently... Recommend watching 😊

This a an emotionally deep and sweet romance series for all ages. It is a slow burner especially in the first 10 episodes and you should savor it by taking your time to let the story develop and feel the depth, difficulties, commitments, resilience both male and female leads experience which sets the foundation of their undying support for each other. There's also lots of bromance and sisterhood as the series also focuses on a the competitive sports world of nine-balls, snooker and billiards which I know nothing about. Part of the series is filmed in Finland and the rest in China. Once our Ml returns to China, the series picks up at an accelerated rate as he returns as a successful comeback in his profession. ML sets such a high bar boyfriend material in this series. The chemistry between both leads are amazing and all casts with their side plots are entertaining too. Highly recommend to watch and I will re-watch this again.

The story, dialogs is a slow pace, so maybe it's not for people that are tictoc addict. But I enjoy the rythm of the series and it never gets borring or I never got the feeling of making the plot longer as it is needed. Overall very nice colors, very good photography and costumes, good story and the Chinese actors are superb (the westrns not so much). Best C.series so far (I hate those dumm female, rich male stories with acting like from the 1920s). I watch it together with my husband and by the middle of it, we took the family for a play of 9 and 8 in a nearby billiard club and my husband was so sad that he gave away years ago his cue. We love to play it, but needed the series to play it again.

The story is quite simple and could have been shorter, but it would remove the soft and slow pace of it, so I'm glad they didn't.
Billiard, snooker and pool are really underrated unfortunately, as some other sports, football is the main attention giver and economic monster.
This shows the beauty of Finland as well quite nicely.
I already wanted to visit the country and this just makes me do it even more!
The romance itself is quite nice, for someone who finds slow paced romances better or prefers them that is.
The original song at the beginning and ending is quite sweet as well :)
Overall it's a reasonsable romance, with good shots of Finland and shows that snooker, billiard and pool are still good these days 😊

Based on a novel with the same title by Mo Bao Fei Bao, It's a slow burn romantic
c-drama in the backdrop of billiards/ snooker game. Where Yin Guo, a billiards prodigy, gets stranded with Lin Yi Yang during a snowstorm at a tournament. They bond, revealing Yi Yang's forgotten billiards fame. Yin Guo's passion reignites Yi Yang's drive for professional billiards.
Chinese tv dramas are slow paced that's why drama takes 4-5 episodes to warm-up. There is an underlying romantic tone to it. Drama doesn't rush to romantic gestures but lingers on stolen glances, staring and hesitation, letting the audience marinate into the emotional core.
Drama filmed across Finland, France and China beautifully. Directors extracted good performance from leads. Drama has Perfect lead casting. Though both lead actors are younger than the character they played on screen, they have given amazing performances. They are adorable and cute together. Couple has many romantic scenes. It's swoon-worthy, charming and simply romantic.
Other characters are lovable too but they all are one dimensional.
This drama had a potential to be best but remained good due to dragged episodes and slow pacing. Upto 18 episodes it's very good but later unnecessarily dragged. Billiards scenes are managed very well. Many things happen as per convenience of course.
Many problems get solved quickly.
It could have been Deeper conversation and friendship, bonding between friends.
All in all, I had a great time watching and rewatching it.
I'll cherish it forever.
Watching this drama was comforting, heartwarming, satisfying experience for me.
The drama has an adorable on-screen couple.
Their offscreen chemistry just reflected on-screen fantastically, I guess.
They compliment each other so well that they scream 'you are single' at you each time in a romantic scene.
The couple has many romantic scenes but are less passionate or spicy, they remain cute, adorable till the end.
Their lovestory spanned through many countries, time zones, years and hardships.
She is the one who made him return to his roots, made him realise his reality, made him passionate about his life again, who was stuck in his life path, just floating around.
Their could be more deeper Convo between leads, specially from FL side.
FL's character has less development arch than ML. Apart from her relationship development with YiYang, she remains the same till the last episode, a little immature, shy, timid (sometimes it's frustrating) sometimes childish but a cutie pie. It's annoying to see her shyness when a Lin Yiyang type of Green forest guy is pursuing you but she has more control on herself.
They both portrayed their character really well, they look so beautiful together.
They'll remain my favourite on-screen couple forever for sure.
I adore, love and cherish them.
Oh!! What should I say about this man. Lin Yiyang, is the star of the show. Female writer put so much depth and arch into this fictional man and Wu Lie aka Leo portrayed it beautifully. Writer's main focus remains on Yiyang only that's why we get such sparkling Green forest with golden leaves floating around, a fictional guy who is hard to find in real life.
Lin Yiyang is arrogant, cold, quiet, diligent, decisive, determined, proud, sometimes impulsive and cocky, an introverted, reserved, less talkative, sigma person.
But he fell in love at first sight. Smitten by her, He becomes a total simp, total pookie. He could easily go to war for her.
It might seem like small sweet gestures but His brain cells are wired in such a way to give her every comfort, care and love. It's a part of his DNA, He doesn't need to think about it.
He is cute, hot and green forest coded.
Full marks to Wu Lie aka Leo for portraying this character amazingly on screen in such young age.
Leo is just 25, drama might be filmed when he is probably 23 yr old. But he portrayed old (5-8 yr) and mature character than his age.
After some research found out Leo is doing acting since childhood, played various characters. This actor has a bright future.
His face card is amazing that I keep missing the subtitles sometimes From bts scenes, you can see, he has worked really hard for billiards scenes. Make himself an expert. Director also did fine job with leads.
Lin Yiyang has a special place in my hall of favourite characters.

Love this drama for many reasons. FL is not a school girl and is a talented professional snooker player. ML doesn't need to say much because his eyes are so expressive! The OST is swoon-worthy.
The scenes in Finland, intro to the world of snooker, the slow development of romance make it a a very worthy watch again and again. Like how her passion for snooker revives his and brings him back as a top player to make himself worthy of her. Quite a contrast to the school girl romance themes common in c-drama.
Leo Wu is very talented at a young age. Hope we can see a lot more of him and he becomes a top actor.

This drama is very slow and relaxed in pace. Character building is beautiful. The storyline takes its time, like you'd want to do if you were savoring a fine chocolate. This isn't just a romance but is also a tale of triumph. Somehow the screenplay manages to make too many easy wins in billiards and love poignant. The director pulls you into the male lead's world and you find yourself enjoying billiards talk whether you like billiards or not. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the drama as much as I did. Towards the end of the series the storyline forks out to include side characters and their stories.

I couldn't finish and kept trying. Made it through quite a few episodes waiting for something to happen. I'm surprised how deep into the episodes I made it. Boring, no real story. Don't really blame the actors. Nothing to work with, maybe with a good script they are fine. Thought about going back and trying again but doubt I will.
Snooker competitions not that exciting but feel they could have been. Lots of eating and meandering conversations that lead to nowhere.
Going to read the other reviews and see what I may be missing. Good luck, hope you have a better experience. No Spoilers here........

I almost abandoned this series several times because of the female lead. The male lead is in his 30s, and she's supposedly in her 20s
and yet she acts like a teenager who's never been kissed and maybe doesn't know even how to kiss and even gets angry with him when he advances.. A better lead would have been somebody who .more closely matched his maturity. Her body language in all of the scenes was ridiculous, except for in the scenes when she's actually playing billiards. If it weren't for her, I would have truly enjoyed this sweet romance. The male lead and all of the supporting actors did a great job..

I always give a new show at least three episodes before deciding if I like it or not. I watched four episodes of this show (because I wanted to see Xingyue Wang), and nothing happened. Two young Chinese people go to Finland and immediately meet (and become obsessed with) a slightly older Chinese man. They eat a lot, and occasionally someone shoots pool. The acting is ok, the lead actors are attractive, and the cinematography is ok. The romance is forced and awkward. That's not to say there's no chemistry between the leads. The male lead is handsome and very intense. I believe that he could have chemistry with an artichoke. But the writing is terrible, and the show is incredibly boring. Please don't waste your time on this non-drama.
