High School 911

The film was very enjoyable, intriguing, and entertaining. Seeing how this group of high school students went through their daily lives as EMTs and how they dealt with things like being unable to save the life of a person was interesting. And knowing that they also have to attend school while doing this work is amazing; not to mention that they do not even get paid. I would recommend this film to most people. It's very good and really makes you think about the sacrifices made by these kids to help their community.

I had no idea that this movie would have such an impact on me! Growing up in Darien and having friends on Post 53, I already knew that Post had been invaluable for decades. From the start of High School 911, I was immediately drawn into the lives of the students and the individual stories as well as enticed by the big picture in every frame of the film. The story was about empowering capable, intelligent, dedicated, young adults who are passionate about what they are doing. In addition to the extensive training and field work these students undergo, they are helping those in need in their town as well as surrounding communities, and in many cases saving lives. The director was able to capture unique moments that many will never witness, filming perspectives and angles which would captivate any audience. It's an inside look into the lives and souls of the people who started, cultivated and continued unparalleled service of an emergency response system, run by teenagers. The compilation of students, patients, adult supervisors and family of Post 53 was seamlessly produced in this engaging, thought provoking film about a town who saw a need for something and legitimized teenagers to effectuate their intent. I hope this movie will inspire other towns to follow Darien's lead with innovative thinking and steadfast, extraordinary citizens.

I am a Police Explorer for the City of Lawrence, IN. This film had a major impact on my post and I. It really opened our eyes to what any of us are capable of at our age. "Kids" are awesome! Wonderful film.

An outstanding documentary which shows what young people can achieve when they are challenged, given opportunity and training. The film show that they are just as capable of being outstanding EMTs as an adult.

Real 9-1-1 calls are shown--everything from an intoxicated person to a cardiac arrest. The high school students handle everything with skill and poise, providing a critical service for their town.

I highly recommend this unique film.

Most documentaries bore me, but this one was a roller coaster of emotions. It didn't always stay on one topic or person, but explored the lives, challenges, and work the people in this film faced.

This film shows the potential teens or "young adults" have if they are given the opportunity. People can do amazing things and these young adults help prove this.

The amount of time, effort, and skill put into the making of this film is outstanding from talking to Producer Kelli Bennett at the Kansas City Film Festival.

This is truly a must watch documentary that anyone can enjoy!
