Depart from It

I had to pause after the first scene! The whole opening was so engaging that it drew me in! I was so captivated that I had to pause and take a breather before continuing. From beginning to end, there was no way I could take my eyes off of the screen, nor could I refrain from the anticipation or wonder of what the outcome would be. I was engaged by all of the characters, both negatively and positively depending on the roles they played. My how they played their roles. I am not partial just because I personally know at least half of the cast, and have worked with about as many. I was far distant from looking at them as people I knew. They were in character throughout, and did it to the utmost!

The best part about the entire film is the awakening, the message in terms of sex trafficking, rape, and all of the other related evil exploits that go on in our world today. Perhaps it was a call to action of sorts.

You should see this one!!

Always love Shawntay Dalon's movies good content great plot twist and always informative she speaks out for the unspoken for. The actor are familiar faces that always deliver . The chemistry is is impeccable. Seasoned actors that I saw on empire Brooklyn 99 a few other local detroit independent films also .Depart from it is one an American story all so often and unfortunately true the city of Detroit with the high crime areas through out the citý that is often ignored by the powers that be so it ends in tragic situations bad for the victims for these type of crimes but I'm glad that these team of directors actors and writer came through.

This movie was one of the greatest movies I have ever seen each character played the parts absolutely well I've already watched this movie quite a few times already and I know I'll definitely watch the movie a couple more times everyone in the movie is so absolutely talented I swear this movie will have you hooked the whole time from beginning to end just like I was every time I watched it each part of the movie was definitely well played out each scene was absolutely amazing everyone who acted in it once again did an absolutely wonderful job this movie is definitely one of my favorites to watch.

This movie was well directed by Shawntay Dalon and the cast did an excellent job of bringing their character to life very touching and Heartfelt...Bravo.... Job well done by all...May God continue to use you and soar you to Higher Heights...to God the glory.... If you have not seen this Movie you are missing a treat ....So proud of this Movie and the work and energy you have put into this ....I am always amazed at your dedication and determination...You Had a powerful cast and you made it happen...Congratulations keep up the great work...You are such an inspiration to us all...you put your heat into everything you do.

This movie had me hooked from the very beginning . It just gets right to the point, no frill. No 20-30 minutes of backstory. I love the way you just jump right into it and it takes off. Such great writing by Shawntay Dalon who I'd always envisioned as a comedy writer, but damn can she do drama and do it well!! This story hit me right in the feels, being a product of the foster care system I've seen some similar stuff happen to people and a few of her scenes the raw emotion of her performance indeed had me in tears.

I hope to see more movies from her in the future-please watch this one! You won't regret it.
