‘Desecrated’ DVD Review
Stars: Haylie Duff, Wilmer Calderon, Michael Ironside, Paul James, Gib Gerard, Gonzalo Menendez, Heather Sossaman, Adam Daniels | Written by Cecil Chambers | Directed by Rob Garcia

After finding his family murdered by vagrant squatters, an ex-military operative and survivalist is hired by the man who bought his land to watch over the acreage and protect it from invaders. When the new landowner’s daughter arrives for a weekend getaway with her friends, the trip turns deadly when they discover the caretaker’s dark secret – rather than driving off trespassers, he’s hunting them in cold blood.

A group of college kids on spring break, driving out to the middle of nowhere to stay for a holiday of fun filled fun? Must be a horror film then! Despite starting like so many other films in its genre, Desecrated does, thankfully, provide an interesting viewing experience once it gets going. Ben, played by Gonzalo Menendez,...

'Flash' Season 2 Lands Michael Ironside as Captain Cold's Dad
Michael Ironside
In Season 1 of The CW's The Flash, fans were introduced to two members of the Snart family, Leonard, a.k.a. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and his sister Lisa, a.k.a. Golden Glider (Peyton List). Today, we have word from The Hollywood Reporter that Michael Ironside has come aboard to play their father, Lewis Snart in The Flash Season 2. The actor will guest star in the third episode of Season 2, entitled "Family of Rogues", alongside Wentworth Miller and Peyton List.

Lewis Snart is described as a "cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal," who is just released from prison and returns to Central City to put a plan together that will put his children's lives in danger. The Lewis Snart character does have roots in the DC Comics, but very little is known about him, except that he is so abusive to Leonard when he was a boy, that the child spends...

‘Desecrated’ Film Review
Reviewed by Jesse Miller

MoreHorror.com

The particularly nasty Desecrated – coming at you from director Rob Garcia and writer Cecil Chambers – is a slasher film with all the usual ingredients you’d find in such a film – nubile ladies, nasty deaths and quite a sick attitude to the horror itself.

Desecrated’s story is an interest beast though. Never mind the fancy heiress and her group of friends heading to her father’s house for a weekend getaway only to find dark secrets – that part is fairly routine. What’s interesting here with the story is that it’s looking at someone deeply troubled with Pdst and riffing on how that could manifest.

Don’t be alarmed – I haven’t ruined the plot, as it’s an element referenced pretty early on and definitely not all there is to the rather surprising story.

What slasher fans need to realise is...
