I don't know why Director Rohit Shetty put horror element in the movie because He is not best in this business. The script was not entertaining unlike the previous one,Tabu was so overacted in the last scenes, Prakash Raj acting was superb as always, but Director did not gave him much size of role which he deserves,Overall an average comedy movie.
Golmaal Again is a film directed by Rohit Shetty. The trailers for this film didn't excite me as I knew that it was going to be the same thing repeated all over again. And that is what I exactly got.
Plot: Gopal and his friends go to Jamnadas orphanage when its owner dies and discover something that changes their lives.
Story and direction: Knowing what Rohit Shetty has done in the past, I didn't keep my expectations high. The film starts off quite nicely. But as it progresses, I felt that it is the same thing all over again. When will filmmakers understand that the audience is evolving? I know that there is a section of audiences who love such films. But there is a limit. Comedy means to go slapstick for some people, which this film is all about. When the interval showed that there is some scope of improvement, again we go right back to square one. The film could have been so much better, but they wanted to go the conventional route. The film is 150 minutes long which could have been over in like 2 hours. The VFX were not up to the mark. But there was some good in this film. The cinematography and production design were not compromised. It looked very gigantic and huge. Also looked colourful, this is not a pain to the eye. We can doubt Rohit's directorial abilities but when it comes to action I can salute him. The way he directs those scenes are great.
Performances: I still don't understand what does Ajay Devgn get doing these kind of films. Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu basically do nothing here. Tusshar Kapoor is doing what he does best. Tabu is totally wasted. Parineeti Chopra has nothing to do except standing as a statue in most of the scenes. Prakash Raj was very bad. Johnny Lever wasn't also used considering the potential he has. Same can be said for Sanjay Mishra.
Music: I don't think that there was even a shred of some sensible music in this film. Even 5 music directors couldn't come up with one single great track.
Verdict: The basic idea for this film to be made was to cash in on Ajay-Rohit team popularity. I still think nothing can beat the first Golmaal. But still, I can say that this is a one-time watch.
I am going with a 5/10.

I am going with a 5/10.
I already knew that this movie is going to be a big torture since I had lost confidence in Rohit Shetty after his big blunders- Dilwale and Golmaal 3. But since I had already watched Secret Superstar with my friends and my parents wanted to watch a movie, I had to choose Golmaal Again. And Trust me, it was worse than what I thought. It was like a nightmare to tolerate this garbage for 2.5 hours. I could have left the theater in the middle, but my parents said that it would be a wastage of money, which we had spent for tickets. So I sat and watched.
Now coming to the essence, this movie has only a few seconds during which you can actually laugh. Seriously I am not exaggerating anything, the movie has only one or two scenes during which I really felt to laugh that too for very few seconds. Now rating each and every sphere of the movie.
Story: The film doesn't have any story-line. Nothing!!! A plain boring journey with no humor, no horror, and suspense. I agree, film poster already says "no logic only magic", but at least there should be some humor, there should be some good performances. But not a single moment of entertainment. Plain boring and forced story (not worth telling at all). 0/10 for the story.
Direction: Another dismal and miserable attempt of Rohit Shetty to make people laugh and this time it has got worse than it could be. He knows it really well that how to fool people by taking a huge star-cast and releasing his movie around a big festival. 1/10 for direction.
Performances: The movie is filled with tons of stars. But none of them makes an impact expect Johnny Lever and Prakash Raj. Ajay Devgn is one of my favorite actors in Bollywood, but in this movie even he seems helpless, trapped between poor story and no scope to perform. Another big disappointment was Tusshar Kapoor who also fails to create humor. Rest of the star cast just blindly followed whatever said to them. 2/10 for performances. One each for Johnny Lever and Prakash Raj.
Music: Music has nothing to do in the film. But still, it is OK and accompanied by a good choreography.
Cinematography: The ONLY thing that gave pleasure to my eyes was the terrific beauty of Ooty, which was well captured in this film. I had never thought Ooty to be so beautiful. This film has really created an urge in me to visit Ooty during my next vacation. 10/10 for cinematography.
The last verdict: Golmaal: the fun unlimited was awesome, Golmaal Returns was average, Golmaal 3 was poor and Golmaal Again is the worse thing you can see in a comedy movie. It is a complete waste of time and that time can be spent better somewhere else. If you really like people slapping others and making them bounce and spin here and there and you call it a comedy, you can go for it, otherwise, please go for Secret Superstar, it is a way better movie and a must watch.

There are bad movies and then there are ones where people leave the theatres in interval. Golmaal Again is best left alone and rather not try going through excruciating pain of watching these mindless piece.
A comedy movie is as good as the amount of laughter it generates and this is the biggest problem of the movie. It has not got a single scene where any your funny bones will get tickle. The amount of fun and laughter has followed a decreasing trend with every movie of Golmaal franchise and this time Golmaal again has touched a new low.
The dialogues and scenes looked very childish and none of the jokes worked. Even the ghostly comedy plot didn't work being it very predictable and childish.
The writing and pathetic dialogues have made some good actors look bad especially Sanjay Mishra.
It is best to have some sleep in your home rather than going through horror of watching Golmaal again.
The Golmaal franchise was pure situational comedy with slapstick elements and hell with the story. It was not great but watchable. In this installment Rohit Shetty for some crazy reason thought that there should be a story. He took two hours to set it up and after that it was not even any good. The joke are bad, the slapstick is virtually absent and the performances are horrendous. A very bad film.
