Danger Zone

I'm a huge fan of Taiwanese dramas. When the release date was announced in August, I was attracted by the cast, especially Vic Chou. Glad to see his return to the Taiwanese drama production after almost a decade! He is more mature compared to those days but still extremely good looking.

Interesting storyline, great actors and lifelike scenes make Danger Zone one of the best dramas of the year. Most of the scenes do not look contrived at all and the efforts of the film crew are clearly in the drama.

Another highlight is Vic Chou's character and acting. It's undeniable that his acting is incredibly stunning and amazing. In this drama, his transition from a behavioural analyst to an attorney and prisoner is perfectly portrayed by his acting. I hope he will be taking more lead roles in Taiwanese dramas in near future. He's such a talented and attractive actor!

I knew this drama was such a hit in Taiwan last year but I didn't have time to watch it until the Christmas break! I'm neither a supporter of Taiwanese dramas nor a great fan of the main leading actor, Vic Chou - in fact he is the only actor I know in this drama; I found this drama incredibly amazing!

The storyline in season 1 is interesting and special, especially when the main character, Liang Yan Dong, is going all out to prove that he is innocent in the murder case of a stewardess. A special mention to Vic Chou, his acting is undoubtedly the main highlight and shining focus in the drama. His eye contacts with other characters, his body languages and his tones are perfect! Although the storyline in season 2 is much weaker than season 1, Vic Chou is capable to act his best and make audience to stay on because of his character and acting. Liang Yan Dong is such a complicated and uncommon character in Asian dramas, but Vic Chou proves to the audience that his versatility and talent in acting add value to the whole drama. I'm still extremely surprised to watch Vic Chou's in his acting in Danger Zone despite I know he has been transformed successfully from a popular Asian idol to become a sparkling and charismatic Chinese actor in Asia.

Unfortunately the storyline in Season 2 is a little disappointing. It becomes less eye catching when new character Yang Yu Lu comes in and the plot has been more inclined towards police characters. To me, the police characters are poorly performed by other actors. Not just because of their characters but also the way they act. I don't see the point of them shouting unnecessarily at all times and the fight scenes are really terrible.

Even though there are some weaknesses, this drama still deserves a good rating because of the overall storyline, the acting of Vic Chou and the efforts spent by production team. This is still a great Asian drama to be watched!

It can only be said that this drama will not work without Vic Chou, it is Vic Chou who brings luck to this dram! Very Recommended Vic Chou! His acting skills are very good, it is worth learning from other actors! It can be seen that although his voice in the drama is his own, but because of acting skills, he will change his voice to match the characters in the drama. Although he doesn't talk much in the drama, his eyes and expressions will tell you what he is thinking, and his eyes can speak, so that all audiences can understand what he wants to express. So it can only be said that without Vic Chou it will not work! Only support him!

It has been so long I didn't watch such an interesting Chinese drama. The scenes look real and the story triggers my curiousity to discover the truth of each case in the drama. I love the acting of the actors too, especially Vic Chou's. His performance is just so stunning in this drama and I just can't stop watching him on the screen.

I didn't know this drama until Vic Chou was being nominated as the best leading actor in Asian Academy Creative Award last year! I was surprised to see his name in the drama award nomination list as he had been away from small screen production but actively involved in big screen film. Plus, he is one of the very few actors in the nomination lists whom I'm familiar with.

To me, the story is good even the twists gets weaker in Season 2. I prefer Season 1 than Season 2 because of the plot and Vic Chou's frequent appearance. I think Vic Chou is the main soul in Danger Zone because of his acting and his character setting. His eyes seems telling hidden stories and his expression intrigue audience to find out what happen in the next episode.

Things have become so different when it comes to Season 2 when the new character Yulu appears. Sad to see Vic Chou's character setting is slightly weaker in Season 2 but Vic Chou does a perfect job to portray the emotions and thoughts of the character. I can see the actress who plays Yulu has tried her best to act and portray the emotion of the character but the plot setting is too weak. That makes Yu Lu looks unconvincing to audience.

Another point to mention is the police characters. I find the police character setting is weak and the actors do not perform well to bring out the personalities of the police characters. The fight scenes look just fine to me but could have been better. High score is given because Vic has finally returned to small screen. Congratulations on your nomination Vic! I'm looking forward to your new dramas/ movies and hope that you'll come to Singapore to promote your movies!
