This isn't the first show where I've sat there and thought "why is nobody actually talking about this?!" and it won't be the last, but seriously; why is no one actually mentioning this great show?
Uncle from another world (the English Title) is a uniquely comedic and very relatable TV show, and the modern touch as well as reference to Japanese pop culture makes it a great show.
I think the best way I can describe this is an Un-Isekai. It is not set in a fantasy world, so don't expect fantasy world building, but there is magic and whatnot in the show for fantasy fanatics. The voice of the main guy is also Dio's voice actor, so that makes it hilarious as well.
Reference to things like SEGA, Evangelion, and popular culture is hilarious from a more 80s/90s side, but the origin from a webcomic also makes this reference some dumb but funny modern stuff, like VTubers, Youtube and Tsunderes (AKA, all you sad people's lives) which make this show feel relevant and nostalgic consecutively.
I enjoy the gags, and while this isn't special or amazingly life changing, I will watch the episode each week, and I will, if the show carries on as it's started, thoroughly enjoy it!
This is a pretty dry season, so if you're looking for something to watch besides Classroom of the Elite S2 this is definitely a good candidate. Give it a watch!

This anime is soo underated
this is one of the best comedy coming these past years...sadly people drop the series/or not pick it up because of the ojisan MC... they really missed out.

Finding this series was completely unexpected and I'm glad I did! Isekai Ojisan (Uncle From Another World) is a unique twist on the Isekai genre. Instead of someone being transported from our world to a fantasy world and watching their journey unfold, we instead start at the very end, after they are transported back again. As the story unfolds, we get to see Ojisan (Uncle) become acclimatized to our world again after being gone for so long. With the help of his nephew, Takafumi, we find out what happened to Ojisan in the other world as he tells his story (memories) through a magical projection. We find out very quickly he wasn't exactly the hero we're used to seeing, was constantly discriminated against, and is embarrassingly socially inept. As the synopsis explains, Ojisan may have come back to our world, but gets to keep his magical powers. This is actually handled quite well, adds to the story, and never goes over the top.
Personally, I would recommend this series, especially if you're a fan of Isekai genre. Can't wait to see more!

One of if not the funniest anime I've seen. Excellent story with great characters and character-building.
It honestly boggles my mind that it has a mere 7.5 rating here. The cultural references to things such as video games, anime, and the internet is awesome.

At first I wasn't sure about the anime it definitely wasn't what I expected going in. However I found him so incredibly relatable being an ugly gamer in my mid 30s 😅. Jokes aside the pacing only starts slow for the first half of episode 1 it sets the stage really fast rapidly introducing a lot of the main characters early on and the the story picks up so much momentum I ended up staying up extra late just so I could steam roll all of season 1. They did such a good job with uncles character being obsessed with a bygone era that I grew up in and demonstrating his disconnect with events in the current era I really can't wait to see how the story unfolds even further. There's so many questions left swirling around in my head after finishing it that I can only show my complete support in hopes that this new studio is able to push out season 2 as fast as possoble.
