Artists Rafael Petardi & Thea Saccoliti create such a factually accurate & yet heart warming portrayal of the gut wrenching loss of one's entire life. Being a foster child and immediately living with strangers following the loss of a parent is not something many people would understand, nor be able to portray so completely with such depth and personality, especially in a film less than 90 minutes long. To jump headfirst into the plot of a man who has just lost his entire life, his entire love, his entire purpose - with no backstory? And yet, Rafael portrays the immediate showing & understanding of the deep trauma attached in the daily moment to moment living one goes through following such events, being expected to live on after such incredible loss. Both Thea & Rafael pull off the above expressions seemingly effortlessly, and even somehow are able to, amidst such sorrowful subject matter, scatter heartwarming and even humorous moments throughout. With all the repeat renditions and copycat films out there nowadays, Producer Orlin Dobreff brings to life a refreshing new plot and artistically introduces the thematic elements in a way that make this film a delight to watch, and somehow leave you with an intriguing desire to watch more. Maybe they'll figure out a way to make a sequel? One can only hope ;)
Appreciated this movie and rated it a 10/10, as I anticipate you and your family will enjoy it just as much as mine did!
Nobody is tackling the topics that Penwheel Universe is tackling... in the industry our counterparts tend to shy away from topics that make us feel uncomfortable. That is where director John F. Uranday shines and Producer Bobby Cloud holds the light. This time it's youth troubles in foster care. A young lady that after losing her mother nobody seems to want in their home. I see it in real life but have never seen it on a script and I applaud not only the idea and work presented, but the courage it takes to acknowledge that there is teenage youth out there that nobody wants and we are here to bring it to the forefront through filmmaking and do our part to change that narrative. You also see a man's side of hurt, pain and sorrow. A widower, the anguish and sadness is felt so deep when portrayed by actor Rafael Petardi. His tears become my own everytime I watch it. Both of these worlds intertwining onscreen makes for a Grade A+ feature that you are gonna need a big box of tissue no matter how many times you watch it. Excellent work all around. I can't wait to see what's next!!!
