Drive Thru History

Dave Stotts is a great host. He is reminding me of Don Wildman from Mysteries at the museum and other shows. What makes this show so great is that this is real history. I do not have to fear that evolution or humanism will seap in or any other false religion. I also do not have to fear a false narrative that I would need to weave through in order to enjoy learning history. I really hope they will be able to make more shows like this especially for children, but without having to pay a subscription fee. We need more free Christian television; actually we need more good free Christian television like this series is. I have watched two Drive Thru History series specials and I love them.

The show does a good job in recording historical evidence for the reliability of the Gospels. The season on Acts through Revelation is the best. However, some of the seasons and episodes have problems such as Islamophobia and bad theology. The host is clearly coming from a modern evangelical perspective, and I suppose if you want that you'll like this show, but if you're not a modern evangelical Christian you'll notice some problems.

Nevertheless, it's interesting to see some of these locations. Despite its occasional problems, I hope it will inspire people to read the Bible for themselves...

In a nutshell, I enjoyed the history; however, he tries to be funny, but is not. You may not be impacted by it. However, I found it to be the most annoying part of the show. He should have stayed with the history and eliminated the poor attempts at humor. It is so annoying, I eventually fast-forwarded through these portions.

I would encourage the viewer to check the theology. If you are simply watching for the historical sites, it's an excellent show. I didn't witness any political or social issues; however, I wasn't anticipating that.

Overall, it's a decent show and good content. I wish he would stop trying so hard to be funny.

I found this surfing on my cable provider in the GTA in Canada. I tend to look for anything entertaining. It is a new cable selection, a Christian channel.

Drive Thru History ... who knew! I started watching the episodes, mid-series, with curiosity. But then I was hooked! Everyday I will watch the two episodes religiously (pardon the pun!) I have read the Bible and have been going to church my life. Yet, I have learned so many things. More importantly, AND I STRESS THIS, all doubts were erased and any things I was not sure about, were confirmed with this series.

Through archaeology, research, history, and eye witnesses, there is proof that the prophets lived, the four gospel writers, Paul, and Jesus lived.

Now, I am telling my friends, and church friends, even pastors, how wonderful this series was. This is one of the best things that happened in my life. Thank you!
