Cóyotl: Héroe y Bestia

Last night, I watched episode 1 of Coyotl, and I really liked it. While watching it, I couldn't stop thinking that this strange mix of superheroes and drug trafficking in northern Mexico is what Robert Rodríguez always wanted to do but never quite pulled off. This is a blend of '80s B-movies with all of Mexican subculture. Coyotl is a bizarre series where a victim of drug trafficking is brought back to life by a shaman and gains the powers of a coyote, becoming a sort of werewolf or were-coyote who confronts cruelty and injustice. It sounds like an absurd cliché, and it is, but the backdrop is extremely realistic, the characters are endearing and well-developed, and the staging is spectacular. Coyotl is fun, not too serious, but it has soul.

Batan Silva let him cook. He did the first 2 episodes and also directed a few episodes of The Boyz on prime and also a episode of The Flight Attendant. I am really lookkmg forward more projects that Batan directs. The episode After Dark on The Flight Attendant was so it reminded me of Jim Carreys movie Enternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. I think if Batan links up with actors from Teen Wolfe, or Cobra Kai, or Vampire Diaries, with the writers from Underworld and remake Jim Carryes movie Once Bitten he would definitely do a great job in being this movie back to life. Maybe even Buffy The Vampire Slayer ther movie, he could remake that. What do yall think?

The first episodes are interesting, it's a rich legend full of mysteries. I hope they continue with the production and develop more details about the nahual.

The cast is very good, the setting in northern Mexico brings the whole narrative to an incredible atmosphere.

I hope Lupe spends more time with her grandfather to learn about her ancestors.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the world of the legend of the Nahuals. The series has great potential and has pleased many people so far.

The series features drama, mystery, humor and romance. There is a lot to explore.

I hope the series doesn't leave any loose ends.
