Picking up from the first season of Please Find Attached, which introduced viewers to Shaurya (Ayush Mehra) and Sanya (Barkha Singh), Dice Media brings back yet another season of its most loved workplace-romance series. In a compelling narrative of millennial ambitions in the workplace seen via a modern love story, Season 2 explores what happens when personal and professional lives start to intersect.
In Please Find Attached Season 2, we see Shaurya getting promoted into manager, leaving Sanya feeling left behind professionally. While Sanya finds a friend and a mentor in her new manager, Shaurya's seemingly dream position is not panning out as well as he had hoped. Insecurities and tempers flare and their relationship is tested as their professional growth takes precedence over their personal commitments.
Kaviraj Singh, Sehaj Kaur Maini, and Ajay Kumar have together penned the story and screenplay and it's not at all exceptional. It's a very simple straightforward story with two lovely leads in the light and delivers many cute moments and are optimistic and positive towards their career and jobs.
It shows the complications of falling in love with your colleague at work and gets even messed up one gets promoted and other has to work under him/her. The show covers the major chunk of its runtime by keeping Shaurya and Sanya in the frame. Shaurya has become a manager but it is not treated like one by his colleagues and his heads, whereas Sanya doesn't just want to be a designer and wants to pursue higher studies doing Post Graduation.
This all seems very humane and relatable and easily clicks your heart and apart from the two leads, the other character which is strongly established was Ratna played by Vaibhavi Upadhyay, who also has got some amazing dialogues to deliver and is very an impactful role. In one scene where Ratna, Sanya, and Ratna's friends are sitting in a restaurant having some light and serious interactions, and Ratna says to Sanya, "I feel your generation defines success through exceptions, looking at Ritesh Aggarwal and Mark Zuckerberg, you aspire to be like them. You want your success to be exceptional and your relationships too. And when that doesn't happen, you consider yourself as failures". This line stays with you as it defines our mindset towards the future of having a big house and luxurious cars but we forget to see who we really are and what's the right path for us (for you). It's simple and that's why so many people will find it effective.
The cinematography by Ajinkya Pandit is good and the shows look fresh, whether say, the office or their cubicles or their apartment everything has a fresh natural look. The music and sound design were good and the songs soothe you. The production design by Snehi Shah is also beautiful.
Please Find Attached Season 2 is a fine, enjoyable series, and the beautiful chemistry between Ayush Mehra and Barkha Singh works as a charm and in the favor of the show, and their lovely moments will strongly remind you are single, if you're. With strong characterization, it delivers what it intended to. It conveys to choose the right path which ultimately will lead you to success. It tries to real and feels like it's trying hard sometimes but as a whole, it's just another sweet breezy light-hearted show which has a concrete message to convey to the youths and that it does without being preachy. Stream it on YouTube on Dice Media Channel.
