This "ghost hunters" spin off takes you to all kinds of interesting places around the world. The first season team was awesome and i liked it very much. The people "acting" normal" though some woman was a bit whiny. Yeah you accepted a job walking through abandoned churches at night. Yeah you can fall down flat on your face but hey it is a job like another :)
By season two and three there were a lot of people just passing the revue. Some very cool guys and girls simply left for no clear reason. I think it had to do that the team was way smoother than jason and Grant ever were and that the ratings were equal height or even higher than the original Ghost hunters.
However great locations that are tourist attractions are always suspicious. Yes history is great and all but don't you think in the back of your mind that these "places" aren't just creating "ghost stories" to scare themselves and drum up business?
Conclusion: Great to watch for entertainment and if there is nothing else on TV. You will get to see some great places in the world and learn a bit about history at the same time, though some of it is highly questionable ( source wise)

This show is only good for a few laughs and that's about it. Otherwise it's mostly composed of watching them roam around in some locale while being filmed in a weird night-vision that gives them evil looking eyes.
In an average episode they will proclaim such things as "Did you hear that?" or "I think I saw something." or "I saw a shadow over there." No real evidence is really shown that really shows a ghost, it's mostly some so called audio evidence of a knock or some voice that is just about impossible to make out. The photographic evidence too is nothing of note as it's composed mostly of some shadow or mist.
Somehow it reminds me of the opening of Ghostbusters, where they are investigating the ghost at the library and when they encounter her they don't know what really to do and run out. Somehow I can imagine the same thing would happen to these guys if they actually saw a real ghost, they would run away in a heartbeat.
About the only good thing about the show is seeing locales that one will likely never be able to visit, and for that I give it 2 stars.

My husband and I are DIE-HARD fans of Ghost Hunters. TAPS is the ONLY show that I've seen thus far that provides a scientific approach to Ghost Hunting, free from Psychic or religious use in their investigations. We've grown to truly love the family that is TAPS, and look forward to each and every episode with a fever.
When we found out that Ghost Hunters was going "International" well, we couldn't contain our excitement. We live in England, and know well the haunting and history over here are centuries old. I have to say that we were taken back by some of the veteran cast's attitudes while in Europe. Rob was fabulous. He was professional, and kept things in order to the best of his ability. He was wonderful. Barry, who had guest starred in previous episodes with the TAPS team was one of our favourites, had once taught other investigators to respect entities. Brian who has been through a lot of emotional stuff with the former TAPS crew, had finally been given his "DUE" we thought. Donna, the wonderful and professional "family" case manager, was a perfect touch to this team, and Shannon seemed to have wonderful prospects. Andy is Andy, and always will be.
What ended up happening, I don't know. But rosary beads came out, less equipment was being used, peoples personalities got crazy with each other and with potential spirits. Propery was not respected either. We would make a bet as to how many shadows Brian would see in each episode. My husband and I ended up watching the show to have a laugh. Something that didn't make us feel good about ourselves or the show.
Then again, we still tuned in, and they did have some amazing EVP recordings. We do hope there will be a "reunion" episode where Jason and Grant will give them ALL a "dressing down" for their behaviour in Europe. (*Except Rob- who always remained professional).
Thanks.

This show went from a nice distraction to a train wreck. The new cast is absolutely horrible. Barry and Krissy really need to just get a room and stay there. As for the rest of the cast the British guy gets on my last nerve when he calls the spirits out by taunting them and then jumps and gasps like a child when the house settles.Pretty much the only saving grace of this show is Susan Slaughter and I really think that is because she is somewhat decent too look at. All in all the cast is at best uninspired and they really need to fire the camera crew because they can't seem to catch anything on film. Also turn on the damn lights. A spirit doesn't care if the lights are on you morons.
Let me state, for the record, that I am a fan of paranormal/ghost hunting type shows, and my opinion here is not based on personal beliefs.
That being said, I hated "Ghost Hunters International." Not only does it lack the tension and excitement of the original, but it seems that Barry Fitzgerald and co. draw their conclusions from a minimal amount of investigation.
They'll wander around a haunted location for a few hours during the night with their night-vision cams, etc., and chatter pointlessly throughout. On top of that, they don't seem to "investigate" every room or even the areas of the location that are reported to have the most paranormal activity. Then, based on their brief "hunt," they'll prematurely conclude whether or not a location is haunted.
It may be that this show suffers from a lack of skilled editing, something that shows such as "Paranormal Witness" do not. Besides that, however, it really seems that the investigators are amateurs. No repeat viewing for me.
