Anecdotes
Sean is filling out a crossword puzzle, but he has incorrectly written "ZEE" as the answer for 9-Down. The "Z" of 9-Down is the ninth letter of 1-Across. The 1-Across clue is: "You're Still the One" singer. Its answer is "Shania Twain", which correctly fills in all eleven letters of 1-Across. Even though the clue for 9-Down is not seen, "ZEE" is incorrect as its first letter would need to be the "A" from "Twain".

Gaffes
Several times during the movie, the brother is referred to as "Sheriff Saunders". The actor is wearing the uniform of a Washington State Trooper, and although the insignia on his epaulets are upside down (sign of a filmed in Canada movie) they indicate he holds the rank of Sergeant. A Sheriff is usually the chief law enforcement officer of a county and would not wear a Trooper's uniform.

Not as bad if you're ...

I love disaster movies and this one is just that, a DISASTER! To be honest, its not all that bad if you're into b-rated movies. In this one the disasters i.e. tornadoes are really an afterthought. Its more about the drama. In summary, this liberal leaning movie is more about free spirited, high attitude kids and chics with no emotional control. Basically its a bad attempt as a drama cloaked in climate change. Watch it to kill time and to tick this one off of your apocalyptic movies list. Who knows, if you're into that type of stuff, you just may enjoy it.
