Anecdotes
The Diamond Dallas Page-Lance Ringo (Scott Vick) match, which DDP won, was Vick's first-ever match on television. He disappeared until Bay N' Gold (1997) (October 13, 1997), where he was seen sitting with Raven (Scott Levy) and Perry Saturn. His official name Sick Boy debuted two weeks later.

Gaffes
"Mean" Gene Okerlund introduced Madusa (Debra Ann Miceli) as the "former ladies champion", even though Akira Hokuto, at the time, was the only woman who had held the WCW Women's World Title. (It went vacant in June 1997 and Devil Masami (Masami Yoshida) later held it from September 1997 to January 1998 when it disappeared forever.)
