Lasse and Maja have started a detective agency. They seek out the Chief of Police who explains to them that December is the quietest month of the year. And just as they talk so is he receiving an alarm from Café Marsaa.

Café Marsaan has been robbed and not just once, but twice. The police chief promises to get a hold of the robber story once and for all, but nothing happens. Then Lasse and Maja decide to catch the robber on their own.

Can you eat a rån? Are Café Marsaan's robbers coming from outer space? And how can the Police Chief dream about Ulla's dreams? A trap has been sprung and now it's time to behave exactly as usual.

Lasse and Maja start hanging out at Valleby's museum. There is also a goat, a mummy who wants revenge and a Palm in a strange dress.

A painting worth SEK 22.2 million has been stolen from the museum. Lasse and Maja get to handle the investigation. Barbro Palm goes on a laughing course and suspects an international league.

The police chief suspects the night watchman Krister Lönn, and when Lasse and Maja spend the night at the museum, a desperate cry for help is suddenly heard.

Everything is calm again, but then Muhammed Karat rushes out into the square, gaping and screaming. Something terrible has happened to his eyeball.

Lasse and Maja takes a vacation. They have a good time at the market that has come to town. A shady elf appears and warns them of pickpockets and before Lasse can say ice princess he is robbed of all his Christmas present money.

Barbro Palm has to eat porridge until Christmas as her wallet is stolen. And Solskensorkestern threatens to go to Trelleborg if the Police doesn't get the three wise men out of sight. And Lasse and Maja goes on a search for the pickpocket.

Tomorrow the market moves on to the next town, so it's time to solve the mystery of the pickpocket. And Maja is spying on her side, the Priest is spying on the Police Chief and Lasse, yes, he is spying on a Princess.

What makes all the ladies leave the church in the middle of the Lucia celebration? And what is it that makes Solskensorkestern stay in Valleby even though they submitted their resignation? Well, the prodigal son.

Hotel manager Ronny Hazelwood has financial problems, but when the rich and nice Åkerö Family arrives, he is convinced that everything will change for the better.

The dog Ribston has disappeared and the Åkerö family is demanding SEK 200,000 in compensation from the hotel. Lasse and Maja suspect that the hotel owner Ronny Hazelwood has stolen the dog, but the Chief of Police refuses to believe that.

One hour left until the Åkerö family will receive their compensation from the hotel. Lasse and Maja understand who the culprit is and how it all comes together. They quickly come up with a clever plan and get ready for the arrest itself.

Mohammed Karat suddenly wants to turn the three wise men into gold hunters. The priest has an outburst of rage and the police chief gasps hysterically that Valleby has turned into an eldorado for thieves and bandits. Lasse's fever rises.

Lasse wakes up from a nightmare and finally understands how the gold disappeared. At the same time, the doors to the theater are opened.

It's the day D. Half an hour to the dress rehearsal of the Christmas play and the Police Master promises to offer a real popsicle.

Solskensorkestern and Mohammed get back on their feet thanks to Karl-Gerhard's pipe. And Palm and Karat's beautiful singing makes the Police Chief forget all his troubles, but soon the theater is exposed to new, life-threatening attacks.

The audience pours into the theater and behind the scenes, the ensemble gathers, quiet and serious. Jesus is missing, well - well, the Chief of Police. Lasse and Maja must find him, otherwise there will be no Christmas play.
