It sucks. I usually hope for the best from indie films seeing that they don't have to give in to studio pressure and all that, but "movies" like this just bring the indie horror genre down a notch every time. I don't understand why someone would even bother going to the trouble of making a "film" like this because there's no way in hell that they think it has a good story or would even translate well on the screen.
Plot: The movie starts out with a preacher drinking and throwing a fit about how the the people of the world are in for some trouble cause they are sinning left and right. HE goes to a graveyard where zombies eat his bad acting ass. Then the movie pretty much follows this bad looking actress and this dude while they run around the house putting up boards and stuff.
Zombies/Fx/: The zombies themselves looked alright. They had some decent decayed look going on. There was something about them though that didn't look right, it was probably the fact that the people playing the zombies had never been on camera before and they were shy.
The fx however sucked very badly. There were open wounds that didn't have any blood on them. I read some of these other reviews saying that the makeup man wasn't there but who cares. If your going to write and direct your own movies, at least know how to mix corn syrup and red dye. lol thats such a bad excuse to use when you fail at a certain aspect of a film. There were times when the zombies would bite people (killing them) and the ghoul would get up with a clean face and shirt, and in return the dead man would have no blood whatsoever on or around his person. The only zombies they killed in this movie were off screen or covered by the actor while he was hitting the blunt weapon (think it was a crowbar) at the zombies chest.. yes at his chest. Thats just a perfect example of a director that doesn't know how to execute shots. en-experienced or not you need to set up your shots better pal.
This movie is just bad. Acting, fx, script, violence.. it was all crap. The only reason there would be to purchase this film would be if your a zombie collector but even this one can be passed up. You also might like this if you in to overweight girls taking off there tops. eek. I think mines either behind my bed collecting dust.

first off I'm giving it a 1 just because this movie is an indie and it has zombies. other than that its complete trash. And I say trash loosely.
K the "plot" revolves around this preacher who thinks the world is full of sinners yada yada. than zombies arise. Simple enough plot yes? yes it is. but! it is poorly executed. I don't care how amateur you are when you go out to do a movie, especially a zombie movie which already comes with the baggage of expecting decent violence/gore, and some cute girls, you sure as hell better go all out or not do it at all.
The filmmaker fumbled a lot on this. It is extremely slow which is a horrible thing for an indie. When you have horrible actors the key is to keep things rolling. now have have some wannabe actor "act" scared and walk extremely slowly trying to get away from a zombie.. which was poorly executed as well.
The zombies/fx The zombie fx was not that bad. Its jut that they were not animated at all. I know its a corpse but zombie fans will know what I'm talking about when I say that there weren't animated enough. bland performance even for a zombie! now thats bad. OK there's a scene where this chick has a big bit in her leg. So far in the scene nothing has been done to close the would so in reality it would be bleeding but it isn't. There isn't even dry blood around to cut! I can understand not being able to make the flowing blood effect but at least splash some fake blood around. Reminds me of another scene where the zombie bits the preacher to the the ground. but when the zombie gets up there is no blood on the wound noir is there any on the zombies face/shirt. HAHA there's also a scene where a zombie disembowels (spelling) a man. now they used real guts to do this with the simple pull out the intestines from shirt trick. but the actor didn't even try to stop him while the zombie was literally sitting on him and pulling out the insides and placing them. yes! placing them on the ground.
k well we'eve covered the crappiness of the fx and acting and the plot. oh and thats the only things to this movie
Well anyway 0/10 for the movie. but 1/10 for someone trying to make a zombie movie cause zombies are my favorite sub genre.
To the filmmaker. go back to lusting over Romero or something.

I wasn't expecting much from a low-budget independent, but this was beyond amateurish. I'm sure there are 12 year old kids that could have produced a better movie than this. The acting was horrible - how hard is it to do a reasonable portrayal of a zombie? The writing is pure drivel, and there's no real serious attempt at makeup or special effects. I didn't realize before I watched this that it was possible to make a horror film so boring that it's painful to try to sit through it. I can only think that the 2 positive reviews were from those associated with this "movie" or their friends. This junk is a complete waste of time.
I don't know what this other guy was talking about in his review. The estimated budget for this film (as reported on IMDb) was around $400, not $55k. All the cast and crew were volunteers.
For a first try, I don't think this film is so bad. There are some technical details that need work (the lighting particularly bothered me), but you work with what you have. Because of the limited shooting schedule (due to the availability of the primary set) they shot on at least one day when their makeup artist was unavailable (hence the KISS zombies).
The crowbar as a "signature weapon" was a nice attempt, but because it's thin and black it's difficult to see, not like Shaun's cricket bat, Lionel's lawnmower or Ash's chainsaw which are plainly visible and have distinct silhouettes.

The plot of this movie is good and original the actors worked together well and keep my attention my only complaint is that it was not long enough i will look forward to wormwood 2 coming soon i also loved the name of the movie and the preacher was awesome and added so much interesting dialog i loved the preachers acting it is an awesome movie thanks for making it.I loved that there was a lot of filming on the streets and the make up of the zombies looked great i also loved the behind the scenes options with actors pictures and behind the scenes pictures they way the movie was put together was a great job as a package you did a great job.
