The Doodlebops

I have four children ranging in ages of 2-6. Everyday since the show has aired,my children wait patiently for the Doodlebops to come on. They have been hooked since the first show. I have looked high and low for pictures of them with and without make up. Any suggestions?? Thank you for providing my children with great entertainment. I would also like for my children to see them in concert sometime. We give the Doodlebops 10 Thumbs up!!! I sure hope that Playhouse Disney keeps the show on the air for years to come. I have watched all different kinds of children's programming and Playhouse Disney has once again added an asset to their list. Great job Canada, Cookie Jar Entertainment and Disney television for bringing children a show with excitement and music to stimulate their imagination.

I can't believe what I have read here? Many of you compliment these kids for doing the great job that they're doing. They're entertaining our kids, not US! So who gives a darn if Roonie (Chad Macnamara) is gay? It won't rub off on you dears :-) And no I'm not Gay. I'm as straight as they come. I'm a married Grandmother. My Grandson loves the show, and has no idea what Gay means. He isn't old enough to know OR care! Shame on you for pointing that out!!!! And by the way, Queer As Folk is the hottest show on show time. Too bad you all missed it. The last episode will air next Sunday night. They have some really hot guys on it for all us straight women :-)And...99% of the men on Queer As Folk are straight and have been on many shows on prime-time television.

About telling people that Roonie isn't any good because of his sexuality... For the person who asked if we'd like our children to follow the image of a Gay person?... ROFL! Have you NOT noticed that he's dressed like a clown? Now how will children pick up on his sexuality unless YOU make a big deal about it? Better get used to it. Gay people are here and are not hiding any more. In fact they've been around since cave men days :-)

My soon to be 4 year old thinks this show is the greatest!!! She sings the songs and does skits all day long! Of course she is DeeDee Doodle. Mommy, Daddy and Grandma get to be Rooney, Moe, and Razz. (not sure about the Razz name, my daughter could tell me but she's asleep) lol I can't find very much about them online, hopefully that will change soon! We've started recording the episodes, because that is all she wants to watch!! She loves all the Playhouse Disney shows, but this one she has wanted to watch since she saw a preview. She was all "Mommy look!" Anyway, we hope you all like it as much as we do!! Go Doodlebops!!!

I was looking thru the comments, and noticed that several people mentioned that the show was not "educational" enough for them. Not every show has to be educational.If thats what you're looking for, turn off the telly and go read a book with your child. Its not up to Playhouse Disney to educate your child..its up to you.The Doodlebops are just for entertainment. They get my daughter dancing and singing. I don't expect her to learn anything from it. So, for that 30 minutes, just turn it off... go read a story, do an art project or go for a walk and just know that the rest of us are having a good time wondering..."wheres Moe?"

Here's a fun, exhilarating show for the kids that is always positive. Well performed and produced, someone should tell this other 'reviewer he/she is a stick-in-the-mud. Relax. Every single kid's show doesn't have to be 'educational'. Kids have a right to have fun too, without everything having a message crammed down their little throats. Hey Mom/Pop (whichever), didn't you ever watch Seinfeld, Friends and other sitcoms. Were they educational??? Come on!! Very colorful and appealing costumes. Cute songs with a positive slant. Likable characters in DeDe, Rooney and Moe. Here's hoping the Doodlebops are around for a very long time.
