The context of a law firm did really bring a nice angle to treat various cases on a weekly basis, and the series had a lot of chemistry between the two leads, Veerle Dobbelaere and the outstanding rogue detective Filip Peeters, who has a lot of experience in crime drama's because he used to star in German krimi's like Tatort. It's also nice to see the underappreciated Tuur De Weert in a more serious, almost aristocratic role instead of his shenanigans in De Collega's and FC De Kampioenen. It's a good thing though that Stany Crets left after two seasons, because his poor attempts at comedy always fell flat. Recht Op Recht was best when they targeted more serious cases, invoking subjects from the underbelly of society like terrorism, hate crimes, extortion and murder. The only shame is that only one out of four seasons had been issued on dvd, because the series has withstood the test of time.
