This excellent well directed film...

This excellent well directed film, with a magnificient cinematography, gave me the same feelings of the first view of Fellini's Strada. The script is really a masterpiece of the use of flashback, the direction of actors is wonderful. But most of all still the poetry that radiate from it.

Cinematographer Renato Berta recalled the scene where a child is looking through a keyhole a woman undressing. "We had a larger-than-life keyhole made, Daniel asked Arielle Dombasle to get naked... but he didn't dare stay: he asked my assistant Jean-Paul Toraille and me to make the plan without him, with instructions to film Arielle Dombasle's sex through the keyhole. Arielle played the game with great elegance and a lot of humor," he said.
