I had a good laugh watching "The Parrot". The The plot is about Did (Harald Juhnke), an aging actor, who keeps himself afloat as a street vendor. One day, he is hired by an acquaintance to be the leading candidate for a new, right-wing extremist party because a market crier like him knows how to win people over with simple slogans. Did accepts the offer. But when he realizes that he is being used for an underhanded political intrigue, he decides to expose the crooked dealings of the party bosses. I really liked this whole story, and for me, Harald Juhnke's performance was simply unique. I also think that since its production, the film has gained some relevance. Currently, in Europe and around the world, we have a veritable flood of right-wing populist parties. Did from "The Parrot" was at least an actor, while in real life, politics often features people who should have no place in public life.
