Breaking Point

The storyline was the hook for me to seek this one out, and I was rewarded with something worth recommending. Breaking Point is not for everyone however. You need patience following this outrageous attempt by the Nazi's to gain knowledge of the pending European Allied invasion. There is very little action, and the whole thing very stage play like. A fine cat and mouse game between John Glover and Corbin Berensen is intriguing enough to overcome any story dragging. Joanna Pacula's motivation and sudden romantic interest in Berensen was never fully developed, and I found that to be the only distraction. This unusual war story is definitely worth a look. - MERK

"Breaking Point" could have been better. Corbin Bernsen plays Officer Pike. He is drugged and tortured by Nazis. The Nazis think he has information on plans for another invasion. Pike can't remember anything about this. He is also being helped by Dr. Gerber (John Glover)and Diana (Joanna Pacula) to recover from his memory loss. But Pike begins to think that Dr. Gerber has a different intention for him.

Corbin Bernsen and John Glover are very good in their roles. The movie begins to lose energy by the third act. There's no need for any gunfights. The pacing is also a problem, because some scenes go on forever.

In the end: If you are looking for a WWII drama, this is a decent choice.
