A old film that is.actually.worth seeing. The drama feels relevant, like how to pay the rent when the grandfather has borrowed the household money? It is also interesting to see the male ideals depicted in the film. It is good to be a singer, better to play the accordion but the real hero is the engineer who has designed a new accordion. And was is a bad man? Obviously a man who drinks to much. All kind of bad behaviour comes from being drunk. Don't drink.

The men in the movie are trying hard to impress women. They fail spectacularly over and over again, something that was obviously considered more fun back then.

There is also evil in the film. Evil men tries to rob the engineer of his invention. Very bad. It is kind of innocent. Maybe the world, at least Sweden, was way more innocent back then when alcohol was the worst drug around?
