It has 8 score in IMDB so I watched it. And since the name has narcos, I definitely compared it to Narcos & Narcos Mexico. Compared to them, this one feels childish, with poor acting, some scenes that do not make sense, interlaced with bad CGI. But it still was a very interesting story to watch. I enjoyed it since it was short with just 5 episodes. But the acting and bad cgi and other issue lingered at the back of my mind. Maybe the budget was less, hence they had to add the CGI planes instead of real jets. A grenade created a crater in the ground. Some loopholes in story. All in all, you can watch it once. You would be entertained if you can look past the cons.
Good solid series. My only real complaint - sometimes dragged a bit in one or two episodes, however the action, scripts, cast all top notch. Yes it gets a bit bloody now and then but that's typical and probably expected of Asian films.
Put that aside, it's interesting. Beginning episodes filled with twists and turns. The middle episodes kept the intrigue and the final episodes, weren't sure who would make it or not and if it would finally end...
I don't want to give anything away as it would be unfair to anyone who hasn't seen it. I generally like the Asia films on Netflix (foreign series only reason I keep a subscription)....
for anyone who wants to binge on an interesting, historic, true to lie whodunit - enjoy! I wish I had more information on the actual events to compare it, but not really necessary.

An Asian Narcos (but without the S) with all the elements of an Asian movie production. You either love it or hate it and I love it.
No, it is not by far on the level of Narcos so if you compare it to these two, you will be disappointed. However, if you watched a Southkorean (or Asian) movie before, you are familiar with the type of acting and the English accent in these movies so you won't be bothered by it in Narco Saints.
The only thing that bothered me, as an Asian from the Netherlands with friends from Surinam, is the bad Dutch and Surinam language spoken in the serie. They should have at least hire actors who could speak or at least pronounce the Dutch and Surinam language properly. What they now have is just terrible. Other than that, I love the story.
