A delight to see Gordon Ramsay this way

The concept is not new as there are a dozens of these type of cooking series, albeit a bit different. What makes this serie pleasant to watch is to see Gordon Ramsay in a totally different way, friendly, respectful and that is a delight to see.

So fun and you don't need a passport

We've been able to have so much fun as a family watching this show. I hope it gets picked up for a second season.

Maybe Gordon's best series!

This is the first show that I've felt strongly enough about to actually write a review.

I really love cooking shows. Admittedly, most of them are very similar. This is different. Part Man Vs Wild and part Master Chef. I'm fascinated. Gordon Ramsay goes to exotic locations and learns how to make traditional cuisine from scratch. This includes catching eels in mountain ponds to scaling trees an a jungle searching for berries. I absolutely love exotic food and love learning how it's prepared. This show is fantastic!

Also, apparently Guinea pig is delicious...

Brilliant show already!

I never was too crazy about Gordon Ramsey, but now I have mad respect for the man on his quest for secretive exotic cuisine! Just genius!

A Different Side to Ramsey

Ramsey is a 16 star Micheline chef known from England to America as the unapologetic perfectionist in the kitchen. But this show takes him to places around the world where none of that matters.

He travels to countries where their cooking technics are as preserved as their way of life. With hand made bonfire as his oven, cooking with the most purest ingredients, he is taken completely out of his element to serve a dish worthy of the host's culture. Then in the end, Gordon faces off against the local chef.

This show is more a homage to the traditional cooking culture rather than an actual cooking show. He explores the culture and the traditions that come with the food. Something very different from his previous shows where Chef Ramsey is the universe everyone else aligns too.

There is a different side to Ramsey that is more humbled. But there are censored "beeeeeep" ringing throughout the show, just to let viewers know it is the same Gordon Ramsey.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted is the Best Cooking Show Ever

Me & my wife really didn't like Gordon Ramsay that much. But when he came out with Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted we can't stop watching. We love that he goes to all the different places around the world. And that he doesn't go to the big cities but small towns. We love this show. We can't wait for season 4 & more seasons of the show to come. We highly recommend Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted. Thanks Gordon Ramsay for the great show and the love you show for the small towns and the small town chefs.

Great show average host.

This show could be a huge hit if it was not for Gordon Ramsay's big head getting in the way all the time. To much about himself.

Gordon is amazing!

Love this show. It is kind of heard to watch exploratory travel food shows after Anthony Bourdain (RIP) passsed but I am entertained by this show. Gordon is humble and at his best in this show. Most people will expect to see Gordon Ramsay cursing out an entire kitchen staff but in this show, he humbly turns the scathing reviews on himself and takes it like a champ for the sake of food education. I hope that Gordon will continue his journies in this show and help people shake off the discomfort of the post Covid pandemic world. I cannot say enough positive things about this show and I hope that this show will continue until Gordon is in his 80s or longer.

Not Bad, just enough salt

This is mainly the good Ramsay, a cheerful British food pro as opposed to his "made-for-USA" Hells Kitchen tyrant. A mix of Top Gear, Bear Grylls, Anthony Bourdain (without the politics) he gets off the beaten track to find new spices, foods and flavours. Wide scenic shots, some adventure stuff with snorkels, climbing gear, white water rafting, and then a somewhat forced cook-off with a local new chef against the clock.

This is a great show, ignore the haters

First, I got to say, I love this adventurous and educational show that brings you to places to learn about food around the world and seeing all the beautiful scenery that takes place in this show

As a fan of Gordon Ramsay, I found him enjoyable to watch while he goes on these exciting journeys and learning different foods from different cultures.

I like how he's fearless when doing stunts, even though the stunt scenes are probably edited, but who cares it is fun seeing him doing this stuff and at least not having to worry about him getting seriously injured.

Another thing that I would like to point out is he swears on the show, like on some of his other shows of course but whatever I find it funny when he does it and he also seems grateful for all the experiences and learns when going to these places.

Keep winning them cookoffs Gordon and also entertaining us all while out on your adventures :)

Reasonably entertaining but stop with the americanisms

It's reasonably entertaining to watch, although feels super forced in places and too scripted, as other have noted Bourdain this is not. Also Gordon is British, English to be honest, although he claims to be a Scot, that obviously is not the case as anyone can hear, so he needs to stop using American words, it's highly irritating when you hear a European call football "soccer" and a BBQ a grill, stop it Gordon.

No Reservations, without the Charm

Gordon Ramsay has been working hard in recent years to rehabilitate his image as the angry, cursing chef, with mixed results. Masterchef and Masterchef Jr. show a more positive, encouraging, patient chef while Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares continue demonstrating a moody Brit with a short fuse. With the sad passing of Anthony Bourdain, Ramsay attempts to enter the realm of the traveling food show that acts as an exploration of new cultures. Uncharted attempts this challenge and at times shows potential, but Ramsay is no Anthony Bourdain and it's unlikely he will ever get there.

Some people like to point out how both Bourdain and Ramsay were "culinary bad boys." True, but with a big caveat. Bourdain, besides his turn as a food judge on one season of Top Chef and two seasons of The Big Taste, has largely hung up his apron and packed away his knifes. Ramsay, on the other hand, continues running a food empire with shows, restaurants, books and more that are centered around him being the chef. That never goes away in Uncharted, and the scenes of culture and experience are tempered by cooking competitions, with Ramsay trying to keep it loose with his laughing and joking, but you can see he's still the perfectionist that wants to win. It takes away a lot of the empathy and modesty that Bourdain's programs had where it seemed like he truly cared for the people he was meeting and instead turns into a Ramsay cooking showcase, all around the world.

Some people have the charisma and charm to make us care and pull us in. Here, it feels inauthentic and like it's just another step in the Ramsay food empire. Ramsay is no Anthony Bourdain and Uncharted is not even close to No Reservations.

The first two seasons. Epic!

The first seasons were brilliant. It was so much to discover so many places. So many lands. Cultures. Different cuisine. Secret ingredients. Lifestyle. And in the end some of the best chefs battling it out. It was a delight. Until the third season. It fell off a cliff. Europe and America don't need discoveries. What a waste to an otherwise amazing show.

Obviously none of you appreciate food

I am in the process of opening my own restaurant and I love watching anything Ramsey because I learn something new anytime I watch. People who gave bad reviews don't appreciate the meaning of the show it has nothing to do with his ego, he's genuinely going to these places and showing the audience what the food and culture looks like in these countries. Typical Americans don't like things that broaden your horizons;)

travel, food, a special host...

Travel. And food. And a star of kitchen. Not an original recipe but a working one. Nice for its ingredients, maybe better if the host was not exactly a star with deep certitude than he must represent the axis of each episode. But is it a real sin ? Maybe not. After a long and beautiful career,, it is far to be surprising to see Gordon Ramsay being just himself.

Great easy watching show, that teaches.

Awesome show! Much for respect to Gordon for doing all the things he does in this show. It's really great learning about all the different food and ingredients in these hidden cultures. It also shows that Gordon truly be a great person who respects people and views. I hope he continues this show for a long time! 10/10

Trying to be Bourdain, without everything he meant to us

Ramsay's show is trying very hard to pick up where Anthony Bourdain stopped, prior to his tragic death. It is very hard to explain unless you have followed Bourdain as long as many of us have, but there is a certain vibe to how Bourdain works that Ramsay cannot hope to match.

Bourdain's acerbic wit and commentary cannot possibly hope to be countered with Ramsay's general off-colour swearing and carrying on. Where Bourdain embraces the places and people he visits, Ramsay simply makes jokes and remarks at their expense.

In New Zealand, he keeps reminding the audience that the pilot of his plane is young looking, despite being accomplished and 30 years old. He swears and carries on when he has to climb a hill, spits food out when it's distasteful - literally spits it onto the ground - where Bourdain will eat it despite his reservations. Bourdain respects those he comes across, Ramsay does not.

It is a shame to see that he is unable to fill the massive shoes and gaping void left by Anthony.

Very enjoyable show

Heartwarming show with good humour in places. We could all learn a lot from how these places treat their environment and their respect for their food and culture.
