As a Swede and a huge fan of teen drama series and films I was quite sceptic to SVT:s new two teen drama series Eagles and Festen. Festen didn't really build up to any of my expectations but Eagles I love!
Eagles is a classical American styled teen-drama and it doesn't look or feel like anything Swedish I've ever seen - it feels like an American show but relates to me as a Swede and I so much enjoy it. Season 1 was quite predictable but had stunning cinematography, great music, amazing hockey scenes and great acting. I totally love Alva Bratt, Edvard Olsson, Adrian Öjvindsson and Yandeh Sallah.
In season 2 the series has really stepped up a couple of notches and the drama feels more real, authentic and everything feels more! Less predictable but unfortunately Eagles is way to few episodes, way to short seasons. It makes me wanna return to High School - but not my High School but the he one where I can be friends with Felicia and fall in love with Elias - just wished I could stay longer in the world of Eagles!

Love this show, reminds me of One Tree Hill! So good actors and amazing drama! Hope they make a season 2 soon! It got me hooked and I really wanna see more of Ludvig, Felicia and all the charachters!
I found this series via twitter and was quite surprised on how incredibly beautiful the series is shot. It is obvious that they did not have much budget doing this since it's shot in Swedish but I was really surprised.
The story and script is not that unique but as a lover of teen age drama I found it a little bit like a saga reminding me of my favourite series from when I was a teenager. The drama is quite addictive and the relationships really leave me wanting to see more. I think that many can wish for a little more plot twists but since the young actors are so good they keep catching me, rooting for the main couple Ludde and Felicia to really get each other.
It's not comparable to Skam at all but it feels like it is not suppose to be either, if not Sweden and Norway really are that different and from guessing it's not really. I hope they make more of this cause I will stay tuned. Impressive Scandinavian teen drama with a hint of One Tree Hill and Friday Night Lights.

This show is suppose to be true to reality but it fails in every single aspect.
Family members selling out family members. Family members speaking different accents. Characters fighting for the lamest reasons and supporting characters that makes zero sense to the main story, which by the way is so mediocre, predictable and boring.
Overall it's so bad it gets comedic. I would sit and straight out laugh because the script is so bad... jez, SVT, just don't.

I randomly came across a trailer for this series on social media and was absolutely amazed by the visual. From the aesthetic point of view it is more like 12/10 with amazing camera, everything is extremely pleasant to the eye. The acting is also pretty good, main characters have plenty of charisma and even with each episode being just about 20 minutes or less, I found myself sucked into the story easily.
The weakest part for me is the way the story unfolds, which is kinda simplistic - it is not even that the plot is stupid, I think it's pretty all right for a teenage series, but there is not much depth to the way it is shown and a lot of situations are just described in very broad strokes without much context or even meaningful dialogue. Quite a bit of clichés too. All that said, I really hope the Season 2 will be out soon - they really mastered an intriguing ending.
