Le Trésor perdu de Jesse James

Nice to find a movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Lots of intense action with just the right amount of humor stirred in. I was blown away by the young talent. Look forward to seeing these kids in future films. I was also impressed by the way the story took me from the Present to the Past and back without interrupting the flow. A good movie with a timely message.

So my family is very hard to please, we are always all over the place when it comes to picking a movie to watch together, but "Lost Treasure" was a crowd pleaser all around! Adventure for me, intrigue for my wife, and lots of humor for the kids! There is no lack of quirky moments that leave you laughing remembering what it was like to be a kid running around with your friends. If you have a family movie night(which I highly suggest you do) then would definitely recommend this movie!

Yeah it's got some stock classic story elements that scream of being inspired by 80s films and if you don't love action, mystery or coming-of-age kids movies well... The spin on Jesse James ,what ends up being the real treasure, a solid message on racism and classism, gravel road car chases, post Civil War horseback shootouts, bank robberies along with a novel twist on American lore left a little something for everyone in our family. I want to grab my old leather jacket, dusty hat, trusty whip and go right some wrong deep inside some old Missouri cave. Its a cool feeling.

Good entertainment. The kids acting are very believable. I think anyone no matter what their age would enjoy this film. Much better than other non-blockbusters I have seen.

I wasn't sure about this film when I heard about it as I didn't know how that story would differ from other adventure films like it but the trailer started to change my mind. Then I recently watched the film and all doubts were cast aside. The young actors in this film make for a great bunch of modern day Goonies which pay homage to them but all have completely different personalities which makes the group their own (complete with the little brother who tags along and makes for some belly laugh moments) all driven by an eccentric grandpa played brilliantly by Tommy Kramer. The bad guys, led by Sage Buchanan, who plays Montgomery, were some of the best bad guys I've seen in an Indie film. Most I've seen go completely over the top but these guys know how to balance over-the-top moments with the serious ones which, to me, makes for a great villain.

The plot itself provided an unexpected twist to the legend that I won't give away but is a nice twist in the Western mythos that doesn't always see the light. This is a definite win. I can safely say it's one of the better indie films I've seen.
