Could Jeremy not shout everything he says?!?! Seriously it is getting to be annoying! Thank you

Not a bad series, started well with a reasonably strong pilot but dipped a little with the nuclear reactor story, quite boring. Characters are a little wooden and need a little more body, like interesting back stories and personal lives. With that in mind, the potential is there for an interesting series, but Jeremy Sisto has to stop shouting all the time, it comes across as very amateur and it's extremely annoying.

I love this show but why does Jeremy Sisto's character need to shout like a demented person in every scene? It seems so unnecessary.

The music is so loud you can't hear much of the script. Why do you need that elevator music.

Fairly formulaic. If someone can advise Sisko that he doesn't need to yell when everybody is on Bluetooth it might help.

I was ready to write this show off after 2 episodes, but I glad I didn't. Someone must have heard all of the negative comments (mostly between me and my wife) around Sela Ward's and Jeremy Sisto's characters and how everything they did and said was WAY over the top. Starting in episode 3 they dialed their acting way back and the dialogue became more realistic and their actions more convincing.
I originally started watching this show because of Missy Peregrym (loved her in Reaper and Rookie Blue) and I really like the chemistry between agents Bell and Zidan, but after the firsts 2 episodes I didn't think it would last 1/2 a season. Now I really hope it has a long run.

Are laughably obvious, and a lot more telling about the blustering, defensive reviewers than about the show.
The show was good if you like police procedurals, which I do. I liked Missy Perigrym and her partner and the groundwork they laid so far, character-wise. I hope to see more of Jeremy Sisto. I'll certainly be watching beyond the pilot.

Why is it, that when the FBI agents are going to see a suspect. They call the person's name and say FBI when they are feet from the person, just so they can chase them? Why don't they wait until they are inches from the person and then say their thing and grab them. I know it's probably a safety thing, but come on really.

I don't know what is worse, the writing or the acting. For instance, in one episode a nuclear facility inspector has been murdered, when the FBI team shows up to the victim's apartment, they find an person in the apartment who says she is also an inspector and was stocking the refrigerator. The agents don't question this person any further, no "let's see some identification"."No "let's look in the refrigerator." Nothing to verify who this person is or WTH she's doing in this murdered person's apartment. Every episode is so guilty of this shallow Hallmark channel writing and acting, that I want to throw something at the tv, but end up changing the channel a third of the way into the episode. Tell the writers to stay on strike until they can write something besides this drivel.

We have watched several episodes now and I think for an opening season it is not bad. Still developing story line and characters. I hope you don't cancel. Give it a chance.

Great cast. Tired stories. I recorded on my TiVo. Basically used fast forward through much of the show.
I'll watch another episode but if it is as tired and boring I will delete series from my TiVo to do list.

Every. Single. Episode. Someone yells, FBI, we just want to ask some questions- and ooooffff goes the guy, here comes the standard hunt shuffle and catch. Every episode!
Then, I actually like the characters a lot, but why is Jeremy Sisto screaming like a lower school football coach every time there is a case? As if he doesnt have a team of really good people around him knowing what to do.
After 4 seasons, we are giving up on this show soon, really no season 5 needed, thank you very much!

Is the character jubal on the tv show fbi necessary. Shouting out orders or tasks that I'm sure the rest of the team who by the way are some of the most capable tech savvy folks as opposed to him. He's annoying. I know it's a Hollywood thing but the over exaggerating and angst and predictable situations and outcomes are corny and weak. If that role or character is essential something has to change to make him more tolerant. Maybe stop saying " come on people let's go. As if they don't know what is required of them. In reality if I was one of the office team members he would get on my nerves but it's the bureau and I'd probably have to grin and bare it right. Yes and he needs to stop yelling. And the boss she always looks mad. I know it's just supposed to be entertainment but they just put out trash lately in the industry.

I strongly agree with a previous reviewer that I don't understand why Jeremy Sisto's is always yelling. It really bothers me. Also, Agent Omar Zidan keeps letting his personal feelings get in the way of doing his job. Her should have been fired right away.

You could play a drinking game and pass out watching this show. Take a drink every time Jubal yells obvious next steps to his team and another when he says YEAH YEAH YEAH when another team member mentions the obvious. Take a drink whenever Jubal shakes head. Down your drink whenever the agents locate a suspect and then yell out their name and that they just want to talk before the suspect takes off starting an every episode foot pursuit. Take another drink when they inevitably shoot and kill a suspect that they really needed to talk to. Most of the episodes are really good. There isn't much to them but entertaining enough to binge and not miss out on a continuing story line. If you've still got any drink left near the end of the episode finish your bottle when Jubal looks really serious and gets quiet.

I used to really enjoy this show. It used to have some solid characters and an attempt to build up their character but the last few seasons, the storylines, writing, and acting has become really awful and unbelievable.
All of these characters have become super annoying and so emotionally unstable, acting out, lying, disobeying orders, going rogue, doing the most ridiculous things that make no sense. I know it's supposed to make for 'good/exciting' TV or the make the characters 'believable' but it's just idiotic, bland, generic, and very boring.
The overacting by many of the cast is also very tedious to watch. The only characters I enjoy is Isobel/Elise/Ian/Kelly...basically the secondary characters...because she's the only one that remotely acts like how I'd think a real life FBI agents would act like. They get the extra stars.
I gave this up last year but decided to give this latest season a try but this is probably the worst, by far. The main cast has just become so predictable (i.e. Constantly fly off the handle in overly emotional and dramatic ways) and act totally stupid. I literally do not care if they all live or die.

Some viewers leaving comments here appear to be watching Season 2 only. If you have CBS All Access that can be understandable since they DON'T carry S1. For $10 bucks a month it should be available. Just watching S2 can get confusing if you haven't seen the much better Season One minus the "Most Wanted" episode. That episode was the Pilot for "FBI: Most Wanted" and not very good. The First Season of FBI was more suspenseful with better writing and plots. The same could be said for the characters. Where's Ian Lim been lately played by James Chen? A much better character than what looks like his replacement Kelly Moran played by Taylor Anthony Miller. Not a good replacement so far. Hopefully Chen comes back. A big loss for the show. Sela Ward as Dana Mosier was leaving after Season One no matter what. A huge loss. Her replacement Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castile has been a hit or miss affair. Horrible in S2 E1 "Little Egypt", better in every show after. Still no Dana though. John Boyd as Stuart Scola has been bringing S2 down. Why his "Barney Fife" character hasn't been written off the show is a better mystery than some of the S2 plots. His new partner Emily Ryder played by Catherine Haena Kim has been solid so far. She has a future in acting. Why Kristen Chazel (Ebonee Noel) was taken out of the field as Scola's partner is baffling. Maybe due to the absence of Iam at headquarters? S2 is not S1 yet. It's not bad either, though uneven. Viewers that don't watch or like FBI are going to give those One Star ratings that don't make sense. If it's a bonafide 1 Star show it would've been yanked off the air after 5 shows. For those folks, don't watch this show. If you watch more than 3 episodes such a low Star rating doesn't make sense.
Anyway, I hope FBI gets back to the S1 caliber of writing and acting. After that "Most Wanted" episode in S1 I saw a giant Red Flag. "Little Egypt" S2's first episode was another flag. Hopefully they continue for the better. Maggie and OA got me interested in FBI from the start. The acting chemistry is there. Now give them the surrounding plots and characters that made S1 so good CBS. Put S1 on All Access too while you're at it!

There were a few episodes when she left and the show was better. I don't think it's realistic or reasonable to expect us to believe that the head of the FBI "goes by Maggie's feelings.. her gut tells her something so that's the way they proceed. I like the character OA when Haley from Chicago PD was partnered with him. I think Maggie should go in another mission and leave the show. I am on the fence about the woman running the department because she so often goes with feelings instead of facts. The other team (black woman and white man) are much more believable and portray a better partnership. Just not a fan of the Maggie character at all!

I love cop shows and this is the worst one I've ever seen. It has so much potential to be better. Please fire whoever is writing these episodes. I cannot stop laughing at all the cheesy lines and bad acting.

I really like many things bout this show, the actors, their characters, and their story lines. Each show has been very exciting even though we may have seen the basic premise on another FBI show. Every time I like a show it gets cancelled but please don't cancel another show with Sela Ward! I love to see her and I try to watch whatever she is in. I also like Jeremy Sisto and all the others even if I don't know their names yet!

Why oh why does he have to shout all the time?
His character appears very superficial anyway so just leave him out, acting from him is lame and amateurish.....

Real FBI agents must either be laughing at this show or rolling their eyes at how ridiculous the stories. I feel this show puts the FBI in a bad light. They couldn't be this inept, could they? I quit after 5 episodes.

Although the first two episodes of the pilot, FBI, were very good, the characters stood out more as individuals than as a team.
In "Prey", they played off one another much better and there was much more emotion in their performances. Especially Jeremy Sisto, who was fantastic in Law & Order, but who has a much different role as floor team leader Jubal Valentine in FBI.
Missy Peregrym has been the strongest character from the beginning, but this episode allowed her to show more emotion and humanity than the previous two episodes. Same goes for her partner, Omar Adom played by Zeeko Zaki - as well as their dependence on one another as partners.
Another standout character is analyst Kristen Chazal, played by Ebonee Noel. She is smart, quick-witted and her special talents compliment the team very well.
Looking forward to further character development on this promising new show.
