The Invited

It's a fun watch if you go in with realistic expectations. Not necessarily the best I've watched but it's obvious this indie film was created on a MicroBudget.

Truth be told I enjoy these films more than the multi-million dollar blockbusters that are soulless cash crabs.

What is most creepy to me about cult films is how the group draws in the newest people. Things feel normal for a while then begin to get creepy. There is always a point that you feel they need to get away, but of course, they stay. You can't help but get emotionally charged when they make that critical mistake. This one was short but kept my attention with a satisfying ending. The main characters were very believable and their relationship seemed genuine. Sound and video were good quality which can sometimes be a problem in indie films. Happily, there were no problems here. Just good creepy fun.

This movie is one of my least favorites. It was a little slow for me. The jump scares we're okay, has a good plot but the anticipation working up to the plot was a little slow. I'm going to watch it again to see if I can get a different prospective but 6.7/10 overall. Good job guys!

The Invited is a really good indie film, you can't sit here and judge the movie like you judge mainstream horror films. I love cult type films and this one is good. I wish there was a bit more backstory but overall you should definitely check it out and you'd be helping an indie company.

I want to really like this movie but the reason why it wasn't for me is because it was very slow for me. I enjoy movies that get to the point but it only got good towards the end. The acting was ok. Everything else was good but hey I'm sure people will like it. I always like supporting indie horror films.
